Sherman nears deal to become dolphins OC

You guys know that Oakland and Cleveland will have big time interest in Sherman.

I think we are way too confident around here. When Omar says it is 85% that he comes to Miami, I get scared it will not happen.

Those teams don't have a head coach that is close to Sherman like Philbin is. That gives the Dolphins the advantage. Coaches want to go where they will feel the most comfortable.

True but the Holmgren thing may trump that Philbin's relationship with Sherman.
It will boil down to two things. Money and where there is the highest likelyhood to succeed.

Oakland is not in play here. Sherman has no relationship with Allen and I doubt he wants to take orders from a 39 year old former DC.

Cleveland I do think will have a say in this, although I think the Cleveland offense as a whole is much farther away than our offense. 40+ dropped passes this past season, Peyton Hillis is gonna walk and they really have no replacement...just seems like there's a lot more work to do over there than over here.

Nine years ago, Mike Sherman gave Joe Philbin his entry into the NFL when he hired him as his assistant offensive line coach with the Green Bay Packers. Philbin is apparently about the return the favor.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Thursday that Sherman is in South Florida today, presumably to finalize details on a deal that will make him the Dolphins’ new offensive coordinator.

Just sign the deal Sherman........come on Man :-)

I'm concerned that Sherman was/is in Miami and didn't sign a deal, not a good sign in my opinion.

These guys are friends it shouldn't be to complicated that Sherman hasn't signed makes me think its not going to happen
