This was on ESPN (Insider) and it was a small piece in a large Article. There was also something on Drew Brees being a bust and how he chose Money over winning!

The Patriots have owned the AFC East, but that may be coming to an end. While New England has been waiting for the market to come down, the Miami Dolphins have been plugging right along.

The bottom line is this: At the end of last season, Miami was a better team than the Pats. With six straight wins to finish last season and a solid offseason, the Dolphins are waving to the Patriots in their rear view mirror.
Other than the acquisition of QB Daunte Culpepper, the Dolphins class lacks star power. That doesn't meant they didn't find some quality players, though. One of the biggest concerns was cornerback play and the team has addressed the position by adding Will Allen (N.Y. Giants), Andre' Goodman (Detroit Lions) and Renaldo Hill (Oakland Raiders). This group will add a lot of athleticism on the outside.
The team also added outside linebacker Sedrick Hodge (New Orleans Saints) who has a ton of talent, and might benefit from a change of scenery.
Throw in tight end Justin Peelle (San Diego Chargers) who will complement the athletic Randy McMichael and you are talking about the hottest team at the end of last season making some excellent strides.
The Patriots on the other hand have made only one move in the free-agent market, adding wide receiver Reche Caldwell (San Diego), who is not in the same class as the receiver they had in Givens.
You add that to losing McGinest and potentially losing guard Stephen Neal, offensive tackle Tom Ashworth and place-kicker Adam Vinatieri and this offseason can be described only as disastrous so far for the Patriots.
Now that we have talked about the team awards, it is time to address the individual honors.

Not to mention we were the most dangerous team not to make the playoffs. With the players we have added, and the players the Pats have lost you are right the Power has shifted, and what is scary is were not done improving either.

Good post brotha!

I was wondering what that insider article said. Thanks Bro!!

I doubt it. Chiefs were probably the best but are no longer.

Of course the Bills were the 'Hot' team at the end of the 2004 season. Just like the fins. They let their QB walk trusting that a FA (Holcome) and/or a young but unproven talent could pick up where Bledsoe left off. But that's totally different than the whole 'let the QB who led us to that late season hot streak walk to sign a QB with a bum knee who is comming off the worst season of his career' thing the Fins have going.

Then there was how the Bills had two stud RBs in Henry and McGahee during that hot streak and then lost one last year. Not that that is anything like having Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams during your 2005 run and then losing Ricky for 2006.

Just because the Bills sucked the season after thier 'hot streak' and the Fins have almost mirrored the Bills move for move, that doesn't mean the Fins will stink in 2006 as well. It really doesn't. Just keep telling yourselves that!:D

OK, keep telling yourself that having a pirate ship in your stadium isn't there to take the attention off the horrible play on the field. :D

Wow your comparing Kelly Holcomb to Daunte Culpepper! Willis McGahee is stil a great back, But they lost alot more than that. We have actually improved, But we will have to see next year.

There is a big difference between the Bills organization and our Miami Dolphins. We also have a man named Nick Saban, dont know if you have ever heard of him. They went into their season as you mentioned with JP LOSTMAN, we upgraded to Daunte...how can you even compare that. They put their season in the hands of a rook and it backfired, we are handing the reigns to a 3time probowler.

Those F...ers still have pretty boy Brady, though. I hate him, but he's great.
CPepp does help us close the gap.

You are correct sir! Neither Holcome or 'Lostman' have a track record of throwing 12 picks in seven games or having MAJOR reconstructive knee surgery. Good point.
