If being draft bust is a 12-step process, Ted Ginn Jr. is on the 11th step now: Serious demotion. It says the coaches have exhausted all other options. We've been through this before, with Jackie Shipp, Eric Kumerow, Billy Milner, Jamar Fletcher and ... most recently with Jason Allen, who in four years has gone from a safety to a cornerback to a safety to a cornerback to a decent special teams player.

Question of the day: If this is the beginning of the end for Ginn Jr., where will he rank among Dolphins first-round draft busts?

Don't forget Eddie Moore. I know he wasn't a first round, but he was our first pick and we left Boldin on the board!

Yeah, that was bad. In the same vein of opprtunity cost, Brees over Jamar Fletcher- wow. Pissed me off then, pisses me off now. I don't see much Saints football, so when I saw Brees- and granted it wasn't one of his better games- that dude is mighty impressive. Him when the Dolphins picked that draft: "One time, one time!" He really wanted to be a Dolphin. Biily Milner just plain sucked- came and went about as fast as any 1st rd pick that I can remember.

Throw in Lorenzo Hampton, Yatele Green, John Avery, Randy Crowder(Channing's father) and 2nd round pick Rick Graf.

I dont think its fair to call Yatil Green a Bust he was hurt so he was never able to show what he could do.

IMO a bust contributes almost nothing. I think Ginn in his first 2 seasons contributed something. Not much but something. I am sure if we look hard we will find worse players than Ginn in our history. Ginn is just fresh in our minds right now.

That seems like a fair statement. He's just a disappointment.

We passed on Chad Johnson as well that year.

Ginn cost us 2 games IMO, and hopefully didn't also do any harm to Henne's confidence. Sadly, but realistically I've stepped off the "3yrs do some receivers make" crucible. But that being said, I agree with Swantoon that he he has made contributions over the last 2 years and when you compare him at the cost of #9 versus the popculture alternative Quinn, or Russell at 1 or Gholston at 6, Teddy may be now considered a squandered 1st round pick, but definitely doesn't approach the toxicity level of some other even more costly or popular alternative choices based on productivity.

I agree Vaark, and.... your sig is making my stomach churn.

He can't make a big play, he's inconsistent and overall one of the worst players ever.

That is just not true. He is bad but there have been far worse players. Most of them we never hear of.
