I remember last year there were a lot of threads on here about him. I didnt really know much about him, but people were comparing him to Will Poole. I know he is still with the team, so is he a viable option for the 2006 season? Whats up with this guy?

He was rehabing an injury. Should be 100% for this season.

I know he got injured last year, but what im asking, is he really that good? could he be an impact player or just a nickel DB? etc etc.

We have a lot of potential on our team that has yet to be tapped into. Hopefully Mitchell/Poole can stay healthy long enough to show what they can do!

I think he can develop into a decent #2 corner but I see him as a great nickel back

I agree, I wouldn't quite compare him to Poole but he's still pretty good. especially with Nick teaching him.

I think we already have to many nickel backs. Our db's scare me.We need to resign Lance and get another starting cb.I like the signing of Will Allen but im not sure hes the answer.

I like our CBs, they are physical, good in run support and they can cover. Remember New England won the superbowl 2 years ago with crappy CB...

Your right, they did. Its because of the system more than the player. The Dolphins have a system now. When Wanny and Bates were here, they needed the players to produce at a high level. Saban is bringing in players to fit the system. That's the difference.

I agree 100% with your analogy dude. It seems that way across the board. It also looks a lot like Belichecks system where injuries don't hurt a team like they did here in Miami. It always seemed like we were injured at playoff time and would get smoked by another team that wasn't. (see Denver, Jacksonville, etc...)

I read in a magazine at the gym, that he will be ready to go come training camp, the article also talked about Will Poole being 100%.

Years ago we had a defense predicated on the team concept where everyone played the ball. I can remember seeing the team swarm the ball wherever it was all over the field. It was fun to watch and thats the way our legendary No-Name Defense played. I think and I hope that is the way Saban is going to play defense and it will be fun to watch.
