Shockey to sign with new team by March 3, prefers Panthers

who knows what he may do but hiring an oc that ranked 30th or lower out of 32 teams, two years in a row is never a great choice
in all honesty this was not a great year to be looking for an oc though.

When Mike Mularkey was the OC in Miami his offense was 29th out of 32 teams in the NFL for PPG.

Mularkey's offensive average with Pittsburgh (as the OC), Buffalo (as the HC) and Atlanta (as the OC) is 11th in terms of PPG.

Sometimes the situation dictates the outcome, I hope Daboll was limited by circumstance and not limited by his own skill set. If he was indeed limited by circumstance and talent then he should be fine in Miami, if he was limited by his own ability then it is going to be a long year.

offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski

- weren't we supposed to get this guy, and it was a 5 star thread. I hope Daboll does better than "Chud"
No !!! His O ranked 31st when he was with the Browns in 08 so he must suck too !!!! Unless you're a homer who believes the players have some input in the success of an offense!!! LOL at all you homers.

The only effective QB he had was McCoy, who only started about half the seaon and played fairly well given his rookie year and pretty shoddy OL. I am not as concerned with his ranking of #31 as I am finding a QB to run his system. This is an upgrade over Henning and his relationship with the QB can't be worse then what Henne and Henning had.

It would be nice to pick up another good TE, but I don't think he'd do very well for the Fins. :err:
