Should The Dolphins Be Interested In Trading For Bears TE Olson?

With the Bears hiring Mike Martz, I keep reading that his offense the TE is mostly a blocking TE,Martz has said basically the TE's need to block other wise you might as well have a WR in the game.

With that might the FO make a call and see what it would cost to get ex-UM star and current Bears TE Gregg Olson to miami?

I do not see TE being a major weakness for us to be honest. I would be ok going forward with Fasano and Haynos and maybe drafting someone late.

We need a better TE but we don't need to give up a tonne to get one and believe me Chicago will ask for alot as they should!

T.Scheffler could be had for alot less and would be as effective.

Well, we have one of the best blocking TE's in the NFL in Fasano, and another very good blocking TE in Haynos. If it's a blocking TE he needs, we're able to supply those. Either way, I don't see them getting rid of Olsen.

He's not really that good. I live in Chicago and have seen most of his games. He's very soft and cannot block at all (he often completely whiffs)
He was also to blame for several of Cutlers picks, he never goes after the ball or makes a play on the ball. It needs to be placed right in his hands.

With Sperry, Fasano and Haynos, I believe TE is one of the least of the fins worries, LB's, NT and a FS are more pressing needs.
