Florida wide receiver Percy Harvin was arguably the most exciting player in college football this past season, and most mock drafts have him going somewhere late in the first round of the NFL draft. That begs a question: If he’s there at No. 25, should the Dolphins take him?
Asked Scott Wright of draftcountdown.com about Harvin and he confirmed what people who follow the Gators already might suspect: The reason Harvin isn’t going higher is his injury history and the questions being raised about his durability.

“If he didn’t have durability concerns he’d be a top-10 pick for sure,” Wright said. “But of course, the way Florida has used him has opened him up for more hits as well.”

I am sure there is a draft board with his name on it. But a lot of defensive talent must be taken off the board first.

He is explosive and would be another weapon to use on offense. But we do have more pressing needs than taking a risk on a WR working out. It takes about 3 seasons for most to develop into a playmaker. The draft is a risk for any pick...just saying that WR in the 1st that did not produce, could be a major stumbling block.

We have Ginn...it would be awesome to have both. But we already have 2 solid WR's for the short passes. We need a WR for the mid-long pass with some height, not just speed.

They will consider alot of players that are available at our pick and do whats best for the team and I'm guessing WR is not it at that point.

and have a ted ginn part 2, hell no

The fact that Harvin has injury concerns all but eliminate him from consideration by the Trifecta at #25.

Harvin is awesome!!!!! His talent really stands out. But at this time in our development, we haven many more pressing needs. If this were another year or 2 and our team was more matured, id have no reservations taking Harvin. He reminds me of a much more talented Santonio Holmes. His only drawback being his injury history. But i think NFL conditioning could help that.

I say no. Percy was known to have some troubling issues in Virginia Beach during high school. He's also too injured for me to risk a first round pick on. Of course, I'm not doing the draft decisions, so who knows.
