Should the Fins go after Marshall....

nope - We develop our own receivers. May not have happened yet but it will.

After reading this article, I think it may not be a bad idea....especially for the right price 3rd or 4th round pick....

http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/football/story/1211294.html

what do you guys think... I initially thought it would be an awful idea, but know I don't know..

for only a 3rd round pick and an incentive-laden contract here, i would be ok with it. i don't like his attitude, but that would be too good to pass up.

Didn't realize there was other crap about Marshall...just offering up the article guys if you haven't read it already

yeah, he's only 25 as well.... Marshall, Ginn, bess/Hartline/Cam in the slot and Turner as a #6 to develop would be good

his attitude is shiit though, you're right

There's plenty of other crap about Marshall.

Read the board before starting needless threads.

I don't know where but I seem to remember chatting about this. Now where was that?

moore excuses to not go after talent.

look, EVERY GUY wants a wife/girlfriend who is beautiful, loyal,
smart, great in bed, great cook and loves sports.

and hey! there out there! all 6 of them.

needless to say, most of us will never see that in our lifetime.

but as most know by now, you dont have to have ALL of that
to have a great partner and a great marriage. [thank God!]

and bill parcells seems to be in this same boat with wr's.

yeah, it would be great to have a wr who is loyal, says "yes sir coach"
after every sentence, comes cheap, team first guy, and can SCORE IN
ABUNDANCE! i am sure he wants that. hey, we all do. and there out there,

all 3 of them. [2 have retired]

wr's are what they are. they are divas. its a divas position! its the lime light.
the glory job!! and that position attracts those types of personalities.

brandon marshall is a choir boy compared to randy moss when the pats went
after him. and t.o? conceded, selfish, annoying, DIVA EXTREME! but you love
him when he is lined up on your team. and he scores points, agaisnt the best
db's in abundance.

plaxico burris! pittsburgh couldnt wait to get him out town! but the giants went
right after him. and last i looked, [before his pistol went off in his pants] he was
a good team mate and appearing in pro bowls and superbowls!!

sometimes guys just DO need another team. none of you guys ever worked for
a place you couldnt wait to get out of? ever left a company because of the
differences you had with them? ever just not shown up over percieved or real
injustices done to you at said work place? WE ALL HAVE! sometimes more than
once!

and that does not mean you are a diva. a non team player. selfish. a business
wrecker. and do you think you would eserved to be labeled a DIVA? we are just
to quick to write off players when they have problem with there employers.

some do deserve it. i wish i could take back many of the blunders i had at 25 yrs
of age. its his FIRST nfl team. and just like some of the examples i have given
of wr's [not to mention rb's, qb's, cb, etc....] many go on to other teams and
do well! the change is what they needed. in some cases when it IS there fault,
they learn there lesson and start over with there new team.

and isnt a talent like brandon marshall WORTH IT? just because your a church
going, loyal, team first guy doesnt mean you can score points in the nfl.

and we need POINTS! we need someone on offense who makes teams look
there way. we need someone who can keep up with the other teams score
fest wr's. someone to keep us from a shure loss when teams put 10-14
points on us. someone who can take the load off of the run game and help
it up.

excuses, excuses, excuses. they dont score points.

and has that mentality worked for us yet? wanny and jj and saban ALL
had that mentality towards offensive players, expecially wr's.

HOW HAS THAT WORKED OUT SO FAR?

for gods sake people, dont you want to score some points? i would rather
start losing with 37 points on the board instead of 10 or 17. i want to go
down swinging for a change, not just laying in the infield dirt!

and if you can score points, you can win! it gives you a better chance to
win than just handing the ball off and hoping your db's can make the big
play EVERY time.

its TIME!! its time to bring in what we are missing....BIG TIME TALENTED WR'S!

come on trifecta... GIVE US A CHANCE TO WIN!! GO GET BRANDON MARSHALL!!

I dont understand why everyone is so opposed to this. Marshall would automatically make our WR corp a top 10 in the league. The concerns about him being a cancer, does anyone remember one Randy Moss. He went to a team with a strong internal structure ie (tuna, sparano), and have tore us up for 2 years. We all talk about how our F.O does a good job of evaluating players. Yes he has been a baby, but if there is a shread of truth that he was told hed get a raise and then didnt, who on here wouldnt be pissed at that. Its not going to happen, but it is something to definately feel out. This move takes us from a 8-9 win team to a 10-11 win team easily. T.O talk was foolish, but look at the Eagles ( a great franchise, stong structure) taking on Vick. I think the move improves their team now and in the future, yet people on this board were screaming no and profanities, even before we drafted white. Id say evaluate it, because waiting on Ginn a solid #2 reciever and the rest a bunch of slot/situational WRs and young guys is not making our running game better, O line easier, Pennys job easier, or Ginn or other WR's progression.
