Do you guys think we should welcome JT back or move on without him. I kind of feel like it would be taking a step backwards if we resign him. I say we pass. But it would be nice to have another good pash rusher opposite JP.

why not sign him, if he can help the team no problem.

Really? Did we need another thread on this?

If its just for the poll, I vote to move on.

Unless Taylor is willing to play for something close to the league minimum, it's time to move on without him. Our defense is better off filtering in younger / hungrier players, and in my opinion they proved that in 2008...

As a fan we dont have any choice in the matter.

If he comes back to play for us, I'll be happy, if not then I guess it just wasnt in the cards.

Now if he retires, he better do it as a Fin, and I'd be appalled if we didnt let him sign a 1 day contract to retire a Fin.

Its tough to say after what happened but i do feel that at the right price there is nothing wrong with bringing him back as long as hes willing to compete, period. If he doesnt have a problem trying to fend of Wake etc. then so be it, if hes better than Wake or whom ever then he should start. We will see tho i still see him in blue red and silver.

How much are a dozen sacks worth? Add a couple interceptions??

And maybe a few forced fumbles??? Multiple hurries???????????

Taylor is one of the best pass rushers of all time, he doesn't have to play for league minimum. Thats absurd.

who said league minimum? And yes you are totally correct in all of the above about the sacks etc. But Jason Taylor isnt what he used to be anymore, doesnt seem like his mind is in the game anymore. He clearly lost a step and his focus. Would be great to still have a shadow of what he was because i doubt anyone playing opposite to Porter is better than Taylor right now (still), thats why he needs to compete in camp to prove hes still better than what we have now by a decent amount or else he can play certain down etc.

There needs to be a third option. "I would only welcome him back ONLY if he is FULLY committed to the Trifecta's offseason program."

He could help the pass rushing game, but maybe just a single year contract.

If he can help the team then bring him back. Has his calf problem gone away? If he is healthy then let`s get him, IF NOT THE PATRIOTS WILL SIGN HIM AND WE`LL BE KICKING OURSELVES!!!!!

If Taylor wants to continue playing the NFL, he's going to have to take a pay cut, and a pretty heafty one at that too. You may think it's absurd expecting him to play for the league minimum, and that's fine. However, I find it equally absurd to thow millions at his feet, especially when he's a sprained toe away from hanging it up...

Or JT will be kicking himself when hes mauled by Long all day, and when we make playoffs again:hump:
