Should we have drafted Stanton??

At this point in time, this means absolutely nothing. Most of the things I've seen said that Beck hasn't exactly been lighting it up either.
 
him struggling doesn't mean anything . . . hell Beck hasn't exactly lit it up . . . but were are talking minicamp here . . . its still very early, and he is working with Martz.

I actually really wanted Stanton, I thought he would have been the perfect pet project for Cam and Shea . . . kid has all the tools and is atleast 3 or 4 years younger than Beck . . . he just needs the right coach to bring it all together.

Beck probably was the better option for Cam tho, he is more accurate and probably is more ready to play sooner. I wasn't mad with the selection

My opinion exactly. Worst-case scenario Beck makes a very capable backup.
 
Stanton has some physical tools but probably makes some bad descisions when it comes to throwing the football. If there was a team that can get him to not do that he could very well be an NFL starting caliber QB.
 
Stanton stares at his WR the entire time and then goes into a funk when it gets picked off. He needs to learn how to look off his receivers. I think he will be ok, but I liked Beck and Kolb over Stanton.

All pre draft reports pointed to the Dolphins being very enamored in Stanton... I'm beginning to think it was all a smoke-screen.

What did a smoke screen of saying we wanted Stanton get us. The same with the so called smoke screen of acting like we wanted Quinn. Please tell me what us so called having interest in Stanton gains us.
 
We wont know until we see how both of them pan out in the long run

I'll give you a great example. Detriot traded down out of their pick at the top of the round and later selected Drew Stanton. If they really wanted Beck instead of Stanton (I also heard Martz liked Beck better), they created a great smokescreen by only showing interest in Stanton, making the Lions believe they could trade down and still get him.
 
i would have liked to get staton i thought he was better then
Quinn IMO but he wasnt there when it was our pick in the second round

Stanton wasnt there when we were drafting he went early in the second to the lions
