The Cardinals are only expected to offer free agent CB Bryant McFadden a contract worth $3-4 million annually.
Domonique Foxworth and Ronald Bartell got about $7M a year. McFadden is arguably just as good, but missing six games last year is going to hurt him.

Considering what the other CB's have been getting on the Market I would give McFadden 4-5 Million a year. The only question mark I have is that he played CB for a team with a devastating pass rush so he didn't have to cover for long periods of time and the QB was always under pressure. I would still be willing to take this chance.

I would definitely offer him a contract ASAP.

I want Him or Bodden and Burnett and I am ready for the draft.

Absolutely. That is a bargain. Plus, he is from Hollywood, so it would be a homecoming of sorts. I imagine the Dolphins would be an attractive option to him.

Only reason I made this thread was because of what Arizona is said to be going to offer. I thought it was very cheap

At 5 mil or less, I'd say pull the trigger, but I don't think he'd be willing to agree to such terms. One can hope, though.

If they do, they are indeed targeting ARI WR Q Boldin with that #25 pick. Unless they think that a good OLB is the target. But that also depends if MIA signs Burnett. :woot:

I wouldn't be surprised if the FO gets mcfadden or bodden within the next couple days.

we need height and speed with dbs and cbs. do whatever it takes to get marvin harrison and boldin. ginn and bess oh yeah baby. do i smell tds......

I agree - we should be talking to McFadden. Unlike some of the other older free agent CBs on the marketing, McFadden still has some upside and the marketplace doesn't seem to be making him big offers.

this should have already been done, days ago!

pass rush or not, he is FAR better than any of the cb's we have
on our roster and it will then free up one of the db pics we HAVE
to make in this draft. and after goodman and hill left, and even after
signing wilson, the finz needed AT LEAST 3 db pics in this draft.

our starting safetys are decent [bell and wilson] and behind these "ok"
guys are NOTHING!! ZILTCH!!

ditto the cb's. and the decent one we had is now gone. so, if we do not
bring in one of the remaining cb's like mcfadden or springs or bly then we
are going to have to select AT LEAST 3 db's in the draft.

we need wr's and a DE now plus a NT. vonnie leaving was NOT expected by the
trifecta, you can bet your sweet jets hole on that!

and there are a few real good de's in this draft for the 3-4.

we needed a center but now, unless there is a caldwell or shipley hanging
around the 4th round or so, they wont even be thinking about it.

bringing in groves was smart and it freed up more draft pics for wr's and
db's and a spot for a DE that vonnie vacated.

so now, they need to do the smart thing like they did signing grove and
getting rid of the need pic at center and sign mcfadden so they can free
up a db pic and have more for de and nt.
