Should we resign Roberts?

Roberts play at MLB improved as the season went on but did it improve enough?

I think we should but only at a reasonable price and we should also draft a MLB high.

Roberts suffered a serious injury at seasons end. He isn't going to be ready for the 2021 season, so we won't be signing him.

I would at the right price. I don't think the contract would restrict Miami much and he made some game changing plays.

I'd rather sign someone like Denzel Perryman if the price tag is in the same ball park, and/or draft a linebacker.

Roberts was okay at times, nothing special. And more importantly, it doesn't appear as though he'll be ready for the start of the season. If he's looking for a one year, minimum type salary + incentives, then that's fine. Otherwise, no thanks. I feel the same way about Godchaux, but I suspect he'll be able to land a longer deal with better money.

I liked him for what we brought him for. Which is borderline starter/solid depth. If he is ok with that role going forward, I’d sign him to a two year near minimum deal. That way we can give him a home as he rehabs. But I’m not giving him much more than depth contract

He made some of my very favoritest defensive plays last year.

I would love to keep him around for just short yardage and goal line.

But that's a luxury, and folks are saying he won't even be recovered by 2021.

Perrymans size is probably why Miami would pass. He’s a 2 down thumper type like roberts.

as j off has said mckinney would be ideal if the texans were to cut him. Solid just not gonna move the needle much and costly I’m sure.

I’m a no on roberts as anything other than depth and coming off a late acl lots of talk he won’t be ready for week 1. Like teams did years ago with breeshad breeman make him show he’s physically right before you even sign him again. I could see that going well into the season even.

Miami needs another plan a option. If only there was a premium talent one in the draft
