I love ronnie brown....... but let's start sending some letters to Saban

If ricky wants more money.. Give it to him! He's gotta stay a dolphin for the rest of his career!
 
i think a 3-4 year deal with 3-4 millino a year and if he serves the 4 year out, the 8.6 millino goes out the window.
 
Ricky won't be around for too long IMO. I think he wants to be in Miami over anywhere else.
 
Ricky can play for the minimum or he can take a hike.
 
We can't pay RIcky that kind of money since Ronnie is already taking up alot at the RB spot. We have many more needs that we need to use the money on.
 
I say keep him at a minumum salery with achevable incentives that make the deal worth about 2 or 2 and a half mill a year along with forgiving the 8.6 mill as long as he plays out the 4 year deal.
 
we can come up with a decent/fair contract for him.. im sure things could be worked out. heck... look at how much we saved with just getting rid of feeley :) I say we just give ricky feeleys money :)

I also question if junior will be back next year.. (this would give us some cash to work with too)

I also wonder if they are going to start addressing things with Mare.. he's pretty high on the pay scale (atleast I think he is)

Given the play of our reserves/future starters, I would wager a large amount that Junior is NOT back next year as a starting LB.

I don't think he'll retire as a Dolphin. With Ronnie as our RB of the future, there's gonna be a time where we trade him for some picks or something. It might be in the next 2-3 years, though. Right now, he's a good backup to Ronnie and can teach him a thing or two. After that, he'll probably be traded or let go via free agency.
 
I do love Ricky. He was my favorite player in the NFL before he retired. I was so incredibly happy when he decided to return too. But I think we have found the future of this franchise in Ronnie Brown. I mean, wouldnt you guys like to see this guy carry the ball 25+ times a game? I miss those Ricky days where he would run all over the opposing Defence and I'd like those days to come back but with Ronnie. I think we should trade Ricky unless we pay him the minimum. When he made his desicion to retire, he ruined himself in the sence that he will probably be another starting back in this league. He may get another chance at that for another team. He has previously said he wants to play for Oakland and I think we should really see what we can get for him.
