watch Jake Long's video at the 53 second mark(it counts the time down)

now THAT is what concerns scouts

perhaps it is a matter of coaching him, but he definitely is not a top flight athlete

personally I think he is cut too high for his own good
 
I am no expert, but Jake Long looks like one of the better lineman to come out in years. At the 53 second mark a defender uses a quick move to completely take himself out of the play. Jake was sealing off the inside, and let the guy go outside. Take a look at Clady, Otah, Alberts, etc. in these clips. They look like boys compared to the beast that is Jake Long.

you are right to a degree, but he still showed disappointing feet/athleticism on that one

in the nfl everybody is quick and un-blocked players don't take themselves out of plays

BTW it takes more that beast-like qualities to make it in the NFL. should we take the biggest player in college #1 just because he makes other players look like boys?
 
You rarely see a defender pushing him backwards...in fact he moves the defenders. The one part where you see him pushing the defender back into his fellow lineman along with that guy's defender and then knocks the three of them down is very impressive.
 
Is it true that Jake Long only allowed one sack his senior year at Michigan? I heard it was Vernon Gholston...just wondering?
