were suppose to be this great franchise with a huge fan base etc. yet you watch the game on tv, and half the seats are empty, the stadium is dead. Now we dont even know if we can watch the game because it may not be sold out. Give me a break. Most NFL cities never even have to question if the games are on tv. I think this effects the players on the field as well.

We haven't been to the playoffs since 2001 what do you expect. I love the Dolphins more than anything in the world but until we have some success you have to expect that type of thing.

Empty seats

I'd kill to be able to attend one of the home games. Having moved from Miami to Kentucky as a teenager, the only time I MIGHT get to see them play is when they are in Cincinnati playing the Bengals.

This post applys only if you live in South Florida, if not Im very sorry

How can you complain about empty seats and be watching the game on T.V to see them? Seems kinda hypocritical

If it affects the players on the field then they have no business being on the field.

A good team will win in front of an empty stadium.

I'm tired of reading these sniveling sob fest posts.
Want to help solve the probem, buy a damn ticket.

Don't care.

I am a season ticket holder.
Most people on here are fans or they wouldn't be on here.
I'm sick and tired of you out of towners talk about how bad our fan base is.

Guess what? Your talking to the same people you're ripping. If you aren't helping to solve the problem I don't want to hear your beeyatchin.

Ah okay then, I totally agree, Id say a lot of people here dont have the money to be attending every game, I got to one last year and had a great time though and would be at every one if I could.

Miami is a major city, you cant find 72,000 people in south florida that can afford a ticket? Sadly Miami is a fraud fan base. No one knew the heat and marlins existed until they get to the championship, then right away its an empty stadium. maybe one day ill move back to miami. but i dont think alot of dolphin fans know what the perception of the team is outside of S. Florida.

Rest assured that we really don't give a rats arse.

As I said, if you're not going to be part of the solution then you're part of the problem.

Sorry, then don't read the post. When you look at fans in other cities, they are wild for their team. The Dolphin fans have to be the most sedate in the NFL. I don't know of a stadium that is quieter or one where the seats are so empty. A large percentage of fans get there late, miss the last few minutes of the 2nd quarter, miss half the 3rd quarter, and if the Dolphins are losing, leave early. This is especially surprising for the 1st home game of what appeared to be a very promising season - despite a close loss at Pittsburgh.

It's not any fan's fault they don't live in So Flo - and, there is no authority that says one has to be a fan living there to criticize, legitimately so, the fan base in general (that excludes ones, likely like yourself, who are loyal and loud).

From a stadium fan base perspective, watching a Dolphins game on TV is one of the most boring games to watch. The crowd is entirely different in Buffalo or Giants stadium, and most other stadiums. The electricity just isn't there in Miami. It is very reminiscent of Atlanta Braves games - widely considered the worst fans in baseball for their lack of support of a successful team.

Whatever. I make a trip out there from California every year. Yeah it's only one game but it's still a lot of money to drop for a 22 year old. It's sad that there's so many empty seats especially considering how proud this franchise should be.

trekbiz, this is not aimed toward the people who go to the games or on these message boards and really care about this team, its for the fanbase or lack thereof that dont care. Remember in 2003 at Foxboro when Bruschi scored the touchdown, and the crowd threw snow in the air, that was atmosphere. Even the Jags game monday was intense. we need that.

i cant believe you left a link to that game. it seems like the same people you are trying to single out....well just look in the mirror and you might find one.

I live in California and make it to at least one, sometimes two home games a year...It makes me SICK to watch games on TV and the sea of orange you see are EMPTY SEATS!

It's even WORSE in HD!

I had fan envy Monday night during that JAX game. Their fans are RAVENOUS!
