Sidney Rice to hit the open market

It'd be nice, but he's not what we need at WR. Plus he'll want an arm & a leg

It would be nice to sign him, but if there is no new CBA by Thursday there won't even be an open market.

Exactly. UUGGGGH!

But Rice would be awesome here. I would love this move. He was great for the Vikings in a very limited role last year while barely at 80% health.

Are you serious? What do we need at WR? Another year of Hartline? Rice on one end and Marshall on the other is what any team needs.

It would be cool to watch but I just don't see it happening. Lots of money and having two #1 receivers who want the ball on a run first team with a marginal QB would be asking for lots of sniping.

I don't think we need to go as far as getting a Rice to go opposite of Marshall. We need a guy to stretch the field for sure, but something along the lines of a Alvin Harper roll player would probably be more bang for buck.

I think your WR corp is actually pretty nice and I dont think it takes another High Profile WR.

I would go into any season with Hartline, Bess and Marshall.

I could make the arguement for a TE for you all but not another WR.

I think you have the WRs, and just need a QB to get them the freaking ball.

bess and marshall but hartline has not really been all that and if one gets injured we have nothing

Not sure what Rice's 40 time is or where he is in terms of stretching the field speed, i see him as more of a brandon Marshall big possession jump ball out bodying people type of WR, i mean sure i would love to add him only makes the team better

but in terms of what all the "experts" and what most fans seem to believe including myself, the WR corps need speed to back off the safety, especially with an unknown running game teams are going to roll the safeties up and play close to the line and take their chances with curl and out routes, hartline has great quickness and acceleration, but lacks pure deep threat speed on a consistent basis, he did get open deep a few times but was not seen, or missed by Henne

I can't argue with that logic either. I'd be fine either way. I am hoping we can find a draft steal, but that has not worked out so great for us lately besides the legendary Bess UFA signing. I would love to see Bess be the 3rd slot WR full time, because he will be unstoppable.

If he's willing to come cheap, bring him in. No need paying big money for a guy who won't play 16 games in a season.

This. Did you guys forget Marshall missed a few games last season? After Marshall and Bess, our receiving corps is pure garbage.
