Seriously at this point why not? I know that he is a shell of his former self, but he is a lot better option then the 3rd stringers we have at left guard right now. I liked Brandon and I think that bringing him back would only help us. I don't blame him for not wanting to play for Jacksonville.

I don't see it happening and again he already said he does not want to play guard so...also...

Adam Gase dismisses idea of bringing back Branden Albert as a guard.

Dolphins don't seem likely to call Branden Albert in the near future.

If he really wants to still play - Seattle might want to try and give him a call for LT.

I still want him. Would like to see FO give him a call.

He's still better than any G/T the Dolphins have not named Tunsil. Not sure why Gase wants to burn that bridge. Sign him.

He is too expensive now, with the $$$ committed to Cutler.

This is what he has said in KC and he said the same thing in MIA - he will not play Guard...

Albert does NOT want to move to guard

He calls the notion of him moving to guard "ludicrous."

"I've worked hard to be a left tackle in this league. I've worked hard on my craft. from where I started to where I'm at now is a hell of a jump. I'm not a guard. Point blank."

Albert was extremely passionate when saying he's left tackle, not a guard. A few choice quotes:

"I haven't played guard since college."

"It kind of upsets me a lot. I'll be the first one

Understandable. But not having a job or future in the NFL, unless playing as a Guard, might change the perspective a tad. Maybe he'll get lucky and someone will need him at Tackle. Seahawks just had a need and went a different route.

his name keeps popping up by fans for teams who have struggling or hurt LT's.. so if he really wanted to return - I agree he could possibly at LT but only if a team thinks he can still perform obviously.

If I'm the #Giants, I might give Branden Albert a call to see if he wants to play this year..

Replying to @JordanRaanan
May be time to give Branden Albert a call if Flowers can't hang tonight against the No. 1 pick

Offensive tackle Branden Albert is a free agent. Should the #Broncos give him a call?

Pass. No guarantee Albert will even stay healthy, and he doesn't want to play Guard again anyway. Plus, we don't want to move Tunsil back to LG, that will only retard the progress he needs at LT another year.

I don't think that we have the money to sign him under the salary cap, unless there is some creative financial juggling and chopping of other players. Besides which the most important question in all of this is whether Branden wants to play or not. If he did his due diligence and arrived at a decision to retire, then that is his decision. When Coach Gase asked Cutler if he'd be interested in playing, the answer was an immediate YES. Even if the money hurdles were overcome, I doubt that Albert would give the same answer. The other negative in the equation is that it was only 3 - 4 months ago when Tannenbaum and Grier made a conscious decision to discard Albert and traded him to Jacksonville.

He just retired and only came back because he would have owed the Jags money. He doesn't have it anymore. Pass.

This, you guys need to pay attention to the salary cap this time of year.

Dolphins need to trade for an up and coming youngster still on his rookie contract. Someone like Cleveland Browns Spencer Drango, who can play any position on the line and graded out better than Ted Larson in significant snaps last year.

Drango is buried on the depth chart this year behind Joel Bitonio,Kevin Zeitler, and John Greco.

sounds like the perfect 6th OL on gamedays on a dirt cheap contract to boot. why would Cleveland trade him away?
