After tonights game, Ronnie Brown will be third in the NFL in rushing yards. He has a 5.1 yards per carry. He is fully recovered from his knee injury and is proofing that he is a top back in the NFL, and durable. Give him a deal similar to the Brandon Jacobs deal, 4 years 28 million, 12 garuanteed. I dont want to rely on just a one year franchise tag or him becoming a restricted free agent. There iis no reason to create another hole we have to fill in the draft when we have a good piece already. that is all.

We'll see what he's willing to take. Tuna will not pay him more than he thinks he's worth. At the very least we'll have him for one more year with the franchise tag, which is also how much longer we have Ricky. I won't ever get enough of watching the two of them together.

Projected stats:

1,476.8 rushing yards
16 rushing TD's.
200 receiving yards

And, he seems to be getting better as the season progresses.

Baring an injury, he is likely headed back to the Pro Bowl. Hard to let a running back walk in free agency who is coming off back to back Pro Bowl seasons. They need to re-sign Ronnie.

I don't know about long term, running back don't have the longest life expectancy in the NFL, also players tend to play really well their contract years and then sort of hack it up after. Case in point Shawn Alexzander.

agreed. they already have Ricky locked up next year.
they would be fools not to sign Ronnie back long term.

yes parcells re-sign him!

walk past him like u did ricky and give him a note 5 years 45 mill

then walk past gibril wilson and give him a note (take a pay cut or leave)

lol all goes well

but i think smiley and gibril are overpaid on our team like crazy.

ronnie deserves to get paid a nice 5 year deal atleast 48 mil 10 or 12 guarteed this guy is awesome and the trigger man for the wildcat that everybody around the league is trying to copy with no sucsess...

Yeah I've been sperheading that movement since the Draft...A LOT of people used CAPS to show their disagreement we should pay Ronnie top 5 RB money because of his injury the year before...but when he is healthy he is unstoppable.

Anyone even questioning weather or not we should sign him is ****ing crazy. He's the best player we've had since Marino. You saw what happened when someone else tried to run the wildcat, it didn't work.

Ronnie Brown needs to retire a Fin.

Considering how many injuries Ronnie has had, how long of a deal can he garner? He is going to be 28 at the end of the season. Now, since he has split time a lot, he isn't as banged up as a lot of backs at that age, but a 4 or 5 year deal is risky.

I guess I am ****ing crazy b/c I think signing a 28 year old RB with history of injuries to a long-term contract as the thread indicates is not wise for any franchise. I like Ronnie, but I LOVE the Dolphins a whole lot more.

Best player honors would go to Jason Taylor followed by Zach. I would also take Ricky Williams 2002-2005 on offense.
