On this, the first day college football prospects could sign official letters-of-intent with their chosen school, the biggest drama involved another kind of signature.

Vidal Hazelton, the nation's No. 1-ranked receiver, announced last month he would be attending USC, but in the weeks since had been considering changing to Penn State. On Wednesday, Hazelton, who played his senior season at Hargrave (Va.) Military Academy, faxed his letter-of-intent to the Trojans, but, according to Scout.com, it did not have the consent of his guardians, which is required of prospects under the age of 21.
"My son needs to learn some discipline," his father, Dexter Hazelton, told Scout.com early Wednesday afternoon in explaining why he did not sign the letter. "I know if he signs today, he could change his mind tomorrow."

Percy Harvin was the #1 WR in the nation.

Yeah Percy Havin is the Number ranked WR and the Number one player in the country according to Rivals.com and is Also the Number 1 WR according to ESPN. I am not sure about scouts tho, But I thought thats where ESPN got all there info

Regardless of the numbers, Vidal is a top WR in the nation.

This to me, as a Penn State fan, is still very interesting.

I have to believe the longer it goes on, the more it benefits Penn State. A little birdie also told me that there were plans for a meeting this weekend and sometime in the next week they are hoping for a decision.

no way vidal is the #1 recruit in the nation. Look at anybodys list and percy H. is either just the #1 WR or #1 overall
