Simms: No way Manning lets Colts draft Luck

Haahaaa...you really think Jim Irsay gives two craps about what P-Manning says or thinks? Especially if Manning's neck may bring his career to an early end. Irsay can buy out the rest of Manning's huge contract for $19 million.

It doesn't matter, the first pick of the draft will be Luck. If the Colts have it they will draft Luck and keep him or trade him for a kings ransom. This is why we need to win zero games, so we can actually get Luck and not have to pay said ransom to do so.

Bingo. The NFL is cruel - when you're old, no one cares about what you did anymore. They will not hesitate to give you the boot.

You might be surprised.

It's obvious now just how bad this team is. They're ****ing awful. If Manning is fine and will play next season, they might not draft Luck. Why piss off the one person who has single handedly turned the franchise around. Without Peyton the Colts would've continued down the path of mediocrity .

Truthfully tho I do not care. I mean I do but as a Dolphin fan you have to be prepared. If we miss out on Luck you still draft a QB.

Nailed it.

No way does Peyton Manning have any say over what the Colts do with their draft pick. Even if Peyton Manning we to come back next season, win the MVP, and take the Colts to the playoffs, who knows how much longer he can do this. He's 35. This is a dream scenario for the Colts. You have one of the greatest QBs to ever live under center, and the next best thing on the sidelines learning from him for two years while getting some mop up duty and real world experience. Can't beat it.

Colts enjoy Manning's success for 10+ years and then enjoy Luck's run for the next 10 years and they only have to sacrifice one year of 0-16 football.

And some dudes here would look at that and say, "Nah, I want to beat the Titans this weekend."
