Is it the same story old story after all these years?

Not trying to be a downer -- but I still believe the LOS is where you win

or lose. That said -- our OL seems to still be a cut and paste solution.

I hope I'm wrong. I honestly don't follow that close anymore.

So feel free to enlighten me as to why my concern is unfounded?

>>> Peripheral point >>> leave it to us to be mid pack drafting when the best QB class

maybe since Marino etc. is coming out!!!

Seriously >>> I would sell the farm for:

Because no matter how bad it gets this year Miami is still likely the second best team in the division and it's unlikely the Bills, Jets and Dolphins all finish in the both 6 or 7 teams and that's where you'll need to be to draft one of the better qb's in the 2018 draft. If everything goes poorly maybe Miami could get in range to draft a qb like Josh Rosen, but he might be the 4th qb off the board and even being in his range seems unlikely.

I agree the OL and the DL are probably the most important parts of the team(not discounting the other positions, but the Lines are the foundation) and we continually ignore the OL.

Dolphins O line is gonna rock. Both Davis and Smith are for real. They need some development but both are young, big strong and athletic. And it looks as though Grier and company have done it again. The ability to get talent here in Miami is heating up nicely. And for once the rest of the world thinks we are gonna suck AGAIN - and everyone has it backwards.

Finally this team is gonna rock.

And by the way - I don't watch college football so I had never heard of Josh Allen before that video - Thank you - he is the most Marino-esque QB I have ever seen. At least in that video - that was crazy he reminded me of Marino like no other... He has IT. And that arm is crazy. Nice thank you for that...

Did you just say Davis? Really?

That guys play has been dreadful, he seems to be nearly as bad as Dallas Thomas, just doesn't play with skates on..... Maybe, quite possibly you meant Jake Brendel cause he looks like he can play.

Who needs to draft a qb? We should be using all of our picks on OL until we find the next Dwight stephenson.

There was an article about Smith and Davis... Maybe the OP read it... lol

I can never understand how people keep saying that "we continually ignore the OL" when we have spent THREE FIRST ROUND PICKS on the position, two of which were top 15 picks. That says nothing about all of the third and fourth rounders we've used. You can say that we haven't done well in addressing the line, but saying that we "ignore" it is factually inaccurate.

Look at the first round picks we've used broken down by position group:
OL - THREE
WR - ONE
RB - ZERO
TE - ZERO
QB - ONE

DL - ZERO (Suh was a 1st, but not our pick)
LB - ZERO (I think Timmons was a 1st, but not our pick, and over 10 years ago)
DE - ONE
CB - ZERO
S - ZERO

Anyone that wonders why we needed to have a defense heavy draft, please see the list above. (we probably need to do it again next year)

Anyone that thinks we ignore the offensive line, please see the list above.

To the original OP, I really like the Allen kid, but there's no way we will be in a position to draft him. Although I do that that Darnold is better.

I'm not buying into Jesse Davis at all. Would love the be wring but he looks like a stiff.

Eric Smith, though, really impresses me. I'd put him ahead of Sam Young now and wonder if he could play guard.
