Tight end Dion Sims continues to play a major role for the Dolphins offense since his return from a two-game absence because of a concussion.

For the second time in the three games since his return, Sims played every snap on offense in the 31-24 victory against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. He also played every offensive snap in the 14-10 victory against the Los Angeles Rams after playing 49 of 51 snaps in his first game back, the 31-24 victory against the San Diego Chargers.

“For a guy his size, he’s in tremendous shape and that’s why he has the ability to stay on the field,” Head Coach Adam Gase said Monday. “And I do think he has the type of mentality to where he takes a lot of pride being on the field as much as possible. He has been hurt with us in the past and if it’s been something he can play with, we rarely hear about it because he just keeps going.”

Sims isn’t just playing, though, he’s contributing.

Dude showed not only power, but some speed on that catch he took down the sidelines... He's got good hands and body control. Is it me or does he look a little slimmer? If he turned some of that remaining extra weight into muscle, he could be a legit beast.

I like him and gray as tight ends, unless there is some big prospect gronk type guy that falls i dont think tight end is a priority.

He's a pretty complete TE. Can catch and he's a good blocker thought he did missed a couple of blocks where he just totally missed but he's asked to block DE's in a regular basis and you're not going to win those every single time

Ozzy rules!!

Weirdly enough, I think the two worst plays Sims had yesterday involved blocking.

I am a Sims fan but he did whiff on a couple of blocks but the TD catch more than made up for it.

Should all be pretty cheap to resign. Sims may be 2 million a year and gray and jones maybe a smidge over vet min.

I don't see the Dolphins keeping Jones. Gray and Sims yes, Jones...not so much.

Keep Sims and Gray and try and draft David Njoku if he enters the draft this year. He would become immediately that seam threat that we have been looking for. Can you imagine a offense with Parker, Landry, Njoku, Stills (hopefully they bring him back). That's mismatch heaven against any defense.

I think Duarte is your future Seam TE. That would be great and allow them to focus on defense

wish i could agree but i haven't seen anything that would leave me to believe that

i think we'll target te this year in the draft at some point

The Sims catch and run along the sideline was awesome. He was laughing at the guys trying to tackle him and pushed the one guy off out of bounds like he was a little kid. He was still smiling the next play in the replay! Pretty damn funny!
