Since 1970....

The decline and fall of the Miami Dolphins right there.
Getting the right head coach is the challenge. Hopefully Miami has that with Flores.

I want to see how his offensive coordinators work out and how things progress on that side of the ball. Year two was very promising.

That's why Pittsburgh is at the top of the list. They had a few down years after Chuck Noll retired, but they made the right choices with Bill Cowher and Mike Tomlin.

Yikes, Miami is one of seven teams that haven't been to the super bowl in 37 years. Ouch.

Sheesh we fell off the bed in just 13 years. We need to go on a run now and get that number back up. If we can string together some top end seasons it can perpetuate on and on. Once you’re good it’s easier to stay good if you’re well run. It’s because you can fill holes in a targeted way and you don’t have to reach all over the place.

But once you fall apart, it can feel like turning around the Titanic. See Detroit. They just haven’t been able to do it.

Imagine if Joe Robbie wasn't so cheap and kept Czonka, Kiick and some of the other phins he wouldn't resign. Or imagine what could have been if Shula wasn't so loyal to Ollividati.
There was no way Joe Robbie, as tight an owner as he was, would have paid Csonka, Kiick and Warfield anything remotely close to what they were offered to jump to the WFL. The 'Sea of Hands' game ended our run. And there was nothing Miami could have done about it.

Lol at the Bills and Jets. Misery loves company.

Worst loss in franchise history IMO.

Miami has the dolphins, the greatest football team (just in 1972), we don't take the ball (currently) from goal to goal like no one's ever seen

I was just thinking about the run Pburgh has had w/ KC's and Indy with QB's

In the last 13 years, Pittsburgh has won 48 games more than Miami.

But you are right. If the Dolphins can get on a roll, things can change in a hurry.

I'm a little concerned with the coaching changes in Miami, but otherwise very impressed with Flores.

Right. Who replaces Big Ben will be a big question for the Steelers.

I keep expecting Pittsburgh to drop off, but they keep winning. I don't think they are as good as their record indicates over the last few years.

Getting the coach and quarterback is obviously huge.
