Makes no sense not to force a trade with Carolina if Brown is going to be there at 14 anyways.

I could be absolutely wrong but I'm willing to bet my life savings that Mueller will not pass on Quinn if he falls to us for anything less than a team giving up the farm for him.

I agree with you completely on that. If you are gonna pass on Quinn (which would be a huge mistake in the first place), I'd hope we would at least trade the pick and pick up an extra 2nd or 3rd. Granted, I'm assuming no trades were done in that mock, but still.

As for Houston in the second, there were a few players left on the board that I think could be better. With both Anthony Spencer and LaMarr Woodley left, I think one of those two would have to be considered as a young tweener for our 3-4. Merriweather is also a possibility and would be a tremendous value in the second. I know a lot of people want us to draft Nelson or Landry in the first, so maybe this move would satisfy them. I don't really consider Merriweather much of a step down from those two talent-wise, as long as his head is on straight he could be a steal for whoever drafts him. As for the third pick, I like Trent Edwards, but I'd like him more in the fourth.
