Just heard on ESPNNews that his physical is tomorrow with two doctors. They must be pretty sure he'll pass though if they released Frerotte though.

I think we released Gus strickly for cap purposes on paper. Perhaps we resign him at a more attactive backup rate.

I know the physical has to happen, but I would be shocked that Saban would pull this trade off with out a high level of confidence that Daunte will pass the physical, etc.

Daunte will restructure his contract to make it long term attractive. But in the meantime with Gus's release our Cap is improved and we are in play for additonal FA moves.

Please, please, PLEASE let this be wrong....I'd rather have someone completely unproven like Lemon than someone like Maddox that has proven to stink.
