all i keep seeing is threads about daunte and joey and what happens if joey does well. do you bench him for daunte?
so my ? is when did we start giving away starting spots on this club. what happened to letting them battle it out and the one who does better is the starter. now i know we gave up more for daunte but we gave up the same for aj and even wanny didnt let that deciede who his starter was. so why would saban hand him the job without making sure he is the best choice.

now i know we dont have joey yet,but they were both first round picks and i say if we have both them let'em battle it out.i dont believe daunte should be rewarded until he proves how good he is here.

AJ was a media thing. I think wandstat always felt more comfortable w/ fiedler but if he would have let fiedler start another season after the FO gave up a 2nd round pick for AJ he would have been fired on the spot. Wandstat was pushed to start AJ.

If you are trying to imply that Daunte is worse than Harrington I think you need your head checked. Obviously Saban will play whoever is better, and judging from the past 4 years that person has been and will be Daunte.

Why are we even talking about this?

just cause they were both first round picks doesnt mean thay should battle it out. who cares when they were drafted? look at both of em and tell me whos better.

im not trying to imply anything.i dont care who comes in as a qb.i just want to see it go to the one who is playing better.i dont beleive daunte deserves to be handed the job without ever suiting up for us.i know he has done some good things but nobody would take bledsoe over brady now,but how many would have taken brady before bledsoe was injured.
the qb will be better this year i just dont belive you can give it to anyone based on what they did for another team

umm harrington would be the BACKup, DC is our obvious starter. People always say well what if the back up does good??? Well thats what a backup is there for! Should we get a really bad back up like maddox instead?
