I have been watching Daunte improving as the season progresses, but I haven't seen the O-Line improving at al...

1st Week: 2 Interceptions, 0 Fumbles, 0 TD's

2nd Week: 1 Interception, 2 Fumbles, 1 TD

3rd Week: No Interceptions, 1 Fumble, No TD's

4th Week: No Interceptions, No fumbles, 1 TD

Can somebody add the complete %, the passing yards and the QB rating, please?

Maybe we should just abandon the run game altogether and play no huddle shotgun the entire game. Then maybe we'll have two tds

Yep, he's creeping up on Alex Smith in passer rating now, with a 77.0 on the season.

well im great he's getting along... maybe one day he will win... too bad when it matter most yesterday...the gave the ball to Ronnie to play QB for the 2 point conversion.
Gee Trickery?.. or no confidence in Daunte!

whoop de doo, those are almost Feidler numbers:sidelol:

Either Daunte has been stipped of being allowed to throw the ball down the field or he has lost confidence to do so. He only throws "dink" passes. Therefore limiting interceptions. Trying to defend a QB going up the past two weeks against the Titans and Texans, two defenses giving up over 30 points per game (until they came up against Daunte that is) by showing he has "one" TD pass in two games, is not sound strategy IMO.

Look on the bright side, if he maintains this pace of improvement, he'll be throwin 4 TDs a game by week 16.

he played the Steelers in the first game and the texans in the last

not very scientific

I dont see the player that he was hyped on being... we should've heeded all the comments from viking fans... it's obvious that Daunte isnt the only problem...but he is A problem.

I didn't say those were great numbers, I just said he is improving and he will comtimue to do so, until he'll have 400 yards and 4 or 5 TD's per game...

But, to do so, our O-Line will have to improve also...

To try and find trends in those stats over these four games is useless. Just not enough information there to be statistically reliable.

We played one of the league's best defenses in the first game, a decent defense in the second game, and two of the worst defenses in the league in the last two games. The stats were bound to show improvement even if we didn't improve at all.

If he does so, Ill be hyper-excited about next season and all the upcoming seasons because we will have a franchise QB...

This post is flawed in so many ways I'm not even sure which angle to take. How anyone could watch these first four games and make the claim that DC is improving is beyond me. And let's get something straight right here and now, DC is a HUGE part of why we've given up 21 sacks. If you go back and watch replays of each game (and I mean play by play), you'll see that DC has been consistently holding on to the ball WELL beyond that duration which is considered "normal" in the NFL. Most QBs will get rid of the ball at the 3 to 4 second mark, and at that point, the pass rush is seriously starting to bear down on him and when it's closer to 4 than 3 seconds, he'll get hit JUST after he throws. Play after play after play after play DC is taking 4 to 5 seconds to scan the field before getting swallowed by the pocket and getting sacked. It's really that plain and simple. And don't tell me that it's the WRs not being open, I don't buy that our WRs (two former pro-bowlers and certainly some capable players) can do nothing more than to be so blanketed by DBs that DC won't even ATTEMPT a throw. I just don't buy it, not play after play. And on the odd occasion where the TV allows full view of the downfield action, you see guys wide open only for DC to dump off to the flats, time and time again. Its as if throwing downfield is not an option for him. He simply isn't doing it. I was very excited about DC coming into this season (never saw him play on a regular basis though) based on his stats and reputation as a difference maker. And would like nothing more than to pin our woes on the OL, as that would allow me the luxury of not having to realize that our supposed "franchise QB" may in fact not really have what it takes to make a difference. But that's just not reality anymore. It's not even a question to me now, as he hasn't even been intermittently bad, he's been consistently bad, as much as it hurts me to admit that.

The Dolphins put up 15 points against the Texans.

Fifteen lousy points.

Against the team with the worst pass defense in the NFL coming in to Sunday's game.

Against a team on pace to be the WORST DEFENSE IN NFL HISTORY coming in to Sunday's game.

I'm so glad that the improving Daunte Culpepper has progressed to the point where he can put up 15 points in a LOSING EFFORT against THE WORST DEFENSE IN THE NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE.

I'm ecstatic. Really.
