The ole saying "liers figure and figures lie". Current pole out of 3300 votes show 83% happy with DC over Brees. I distinctly remember the pole asking us to choose our Qb being overwhelmingly in favor of Brees. I guess its all in who takes there time to answer....haha..:goof:

uh...perhaps. Maybe we're just glad to have either one. We weren't necessarily guaranteed to have Brees. And considering the higher cost he wanted I don't think most of us would have opted for him. Now if he wanted to bring his price down and both DC and Brees wanted the same....you'd probably see the polls a bit different. Right now....I think people are happy with what they got for what we're paying for.

Just because we wanted Brees doesn't mean we can't be happy about Culpepper.

people on this site were going to be happy with either one, but in my opinion Culpepper is the better option for us and thats why Saban got him. he has a far less severe injury (as far as to a QB), Culpepper will still have the same passing ability after he recovers from his injury but Brees won't. Brees already had weak arm strengh and the injury to the rotator cuff will make him even weaker, you don't fully recover from that injury.

Culpepper was also a better QB in the first place (at least in my opinion), he had the stronger arm by far and put up far superior stats. good move by Saban

Yea same I voted bree's but after culpepper manifesto I have more confidence in culpepper than I do bree's and anyways bree's wanted money not a championship.

Or we thought Brees was ours no doubt he was.everything I heard about pep was he wont play next year, now i guess hell miss 4 games at the most so Im happy, also I dont know if we were waiting on doctors to tell us about Brees or we were waiting on him.If it was him i'm not sure I want someone who can't decide if he wants to win on my team

It's called: Being a homer.

This site is almost like the Indianapolis Colts forum, in where they praise everything Peyton Manning and Tony Dungy does.

:yeahthat: How about the other saying, "six of one, half dozen of the other?" I am just happy that we made a move for a quality QB. Regardless of the stats that everyone brings up (possibly the worst support for an argument ever. No matter what your view is on anything, you can probably find stats to back it up), he is the best QB we have had since Dan--and yes, I say this before he ever puts a uniform on. What I truly don't understand is the people who are incredibly pissed off at the signing. Do they honestly believe that Brees is that much the superior to Daunte to warrant the venom I have seen spewed? Just because you support bringing one player in over the other doesn't mean that all is lost if it doesn't go your way.

I voted for Brees originally, but that was before the contract demands he had and the question marks about his shoulder proved to be too much for our doctors to warrant the risk in such a contract. I guess that makes me a liar.:rolleyes2

I love it when that word is thrown around. :rolleyes2 Being a homer is choosing Brees and accepting no other options whatsoever then crying and bashing everyone that accepted the other option instead of joining you in your pity party.

The poll didn't ask about DC over Brees, or Brees over DC, it only asked if you are pleased with the acquisition. I would have preferred Brees, but as others have said, I am pleased that we have made the move and gotten a true starter (provided he gets healthy).

The things people have to consider, even me, is that I was a huge Brees supporter, not that I had anything against Culpepper, but with the news that come out about Miami was not happy with Brees and how he was progressing on his injury, makes you think that the team did get the better of the two available.

Once the deal has been made, what difference does it make ?? I still don't like that we lost a draft pick for Culpepper, Brees, Favre, or anyone else...doesn't change the fact that I'm happy with Culpepper as our QB...

Besides, that poll wouldn't have changed the fact that the deal was made...

I voted Bree's over DC before, but now, there is no question, that I am pleased we got DC, and I am glad to have him aboard...bad poll question if you ask me, it's like asking Do you like to eat??? (yes, I do like steak) (no, I like chicken)....

when i voted it said 100% on Duante, but i guess that could be b.c i was the 1st one to vote, lol
