I thought the interview questions were clear and to the point. They addressed the kind of information I wanted to know about.
Re-evaluation a messy job that needs to be done each year, but its more of a problem for a new coaching staff because of the re-evaluation of the current roster.
Clearly the biggest part of the coaching staffs job right now and thru the draft is determining the skill sets of who we have, identifying the areas we will need to improve and identifying if there are folks available who can fill a need via the draft or free agency or via trades. Like they said, one of the items they need to address among themselves is how they will go about dealing with internal disagreements in order to progress.
I like the focus they presented with what I consider the reality of the work load they are dealing with. Addressing those issues may be half the battle in becoming a competitive team. I liked the whole interview, but I like the questions that were asked the best. I also liked the way those questions were presented, such that the Coach and the GM could build on each others answer. It saw a picture of a coordinated and focused effort that is occurring and will be in place for a long time.
I'm looking forward to a successful year, not a tank job.
