This was posted on Twitter. Figured I would share. Here are few excerpts:

The New York Jets' coach got defensive Wednesday when asked about his unusual game plan Monday night -- you know, the one with all the running plays -- insisting, "I don't feel like apologizing for running for 300 yards (actually 277)." In an attempt to bolster his argument, Ryan mentioned the recent game in which the Patriots ran 44 times for 246 yards against the Indianapolis Colts.

"I remember everybody was praising New England running it how many times they ran it the other week, and you've got a first-ballot, Hall-of-Fame quarterback in Tom Brady," Ryan said.

Two days later, we're still talking about the play calling -- hard to believe, considering it's a 2-10 team. But this isn't about one game. This is about the organization's belief in Geno Smith (or lack thereof) and Ryan's fatal flaw, one of the reasons he will be unemployed in a few weeks: His blind spot for offense.

Smith is a turnover-prone liability whose days as the Jets' starting quarterback will end in four weeks, but playing on a defensive-centric team hasn't helped his development. Look at Mark Sanchez. He's in a quarterback-friendly system with the Philadelphia Eagles, thriving in his second incarnation.

Got to agree with Rex and the blatant Patriot love. He gets no credit while NE is praised for the same thing.
Patriots squeak by the Jets and give up 200 yards rushing and no mention. Miami does the same and we are trash.

Sure enough Rex not finding a consistent QB will be his down fall.

Mark Sanchez was a better QB than Geno Smith and Mike Vick combined.

The backlash was more about the inability of the Jets to throw than rushing for 277. The Jets accumulated more than 200 in the first half and got shut down in the second. They never adjusted to the extra safety in the box because had they, it's a different ball game.

The Jets did enough to win the game, except for kick FG's. Miami did enough to win that game too. I can't really fault Rex for that game plan, especially since the team was 2-9 going into that game and already eliminated from playoff contention. There are rumblings of Marty Mornhigweg and Rex Ryan having a toxic relationship. If true, I think that is the true underlying problem this season.

There is a huge difference between the Pats running for 200 yards and the Jets running for 200 yards. The Pats exploited a weakness while having a QB who can also throw.
Besides running for 250 yards the Pats also threw for 250 yards. Their combined yardage was 507 in that game.

The Jets ran because they couldn't do anything else. It was out of necessity rather than a choice. Once we moved additional people to the line the offensive output stopped. Against teams with a QB that will be fatal as you expose your secondary.

Rex is now a whiner. The big mouth got his mouth stuffed and now he is playing the poor poor me. Sorry, no love for you Rex. Go sniff some feet.

That's the thing. When you are 2-9 and already eliminated from the playoff race, you need to start evaluating players for next year. Geno wasn't named the starter again becasue he gives them the best chance to win. He was put back in to make a determination if he is worth keeping around for next year. By running the ball 50 times, the Jets learned nothing new to help their team going forward.

the fact that the franchise needed confirmation on if geno should stick around next year, says enough.

He has been absolutely terrible, but it is only his 2nd year. I'm not saying he will be any better in the future, but there was no point for Vick to be starting at 2-9. I agree with you though that Geno is not their future either. They should probably let Simms start and see if he can show some progress.

It won't matter who starts if they never let them throw.
