It is on the front page of dolphins section in the sunsentinal and it talks about GM and hiring of coach's. Good article.:dolphins:

Ugh, I thought it was typical trash. An interview means nothing.

here we go again

if it could be done it would be done

its like asking "why don't we draft every player", its obviously the better way but if it could be done it would be done

here's the opening of the article and the linky...

[FONT=Verdana,Arial, Helvetica][FONT=Verdana,Arial, Helvetica] It was refreshing to hear H. Wayne Huizenga, in the spirit of glasnost, championing open communication. But when the owner graciously invited media suggestions relative to the Dolphins' new course, he forgot two conditions.

To be considered, all suggestions must be submitted in Pig Latin, to make the same sense as many recent Dolphins decisions. Further, the words must be written from right to left, like Hebrew or Arabic, because the organization continues to conduct its football business backward.

So here goes, my humble suggestion to restore order:

"Oachcay ethay irehay imhay etlay andway irstfay anagermay eneralgay away irehay."

Translation?

Hire a football executive first and let him hire the coach.

It means everything.

It means Wayne hasn't learned anything from the past.

Trust me, if it were up to him, Carroll would be here tomorrow with total control. He's the biggest name out there.

Skolnick is right. This is the way we should be doing it. And you should be very worried right now.

You trust Wayne too much.

They have no desire to go to a format where the GM runs the show. Never have.

Your right, they haven't. And thats why the Dolphins are where they are at today. Wayne never learns. Like the saying goes, if you keep doing what you have always done, you will keep getting what you have always gotten.

:shakeno: alright dolphinfans the big cohoona is here to say i may have to overthrow wayne and take overall command of the dolphins . i knew the time was coming but i didnt think that time had yet arrive.
in simple terms i am going to have to come down to florida and bring my colorful insight and infinate wisedom and show you people how run this team. get ready because greatness is right around the corner.:sidelol:

bythe way dday my pals told me all about your women do you know of any good looking brunettes that meet my standards? your reputation is so widespread in oklahoma that you are a legion. :shakeno:

Wayne gets roundly applauded for "not meddling". Its a billion dollar investment...he needs to meddle.

Get a football guy Wayne, and make him responsible for the coach, players, and salary cap.

Sit down with him at the beginning of the season, the bye week, and the end of the season and measure progress, goals, and expectations. Geez. C'mon already.

serriously i think Pete Carroll would make a terific coach and besides he has beaten our ***** with the patriots almost everytime . we are 0-6 against pete because jimmy gave him the playbook . ok i was over dramatic but i think carroll can do the job look at how well usc is doing.

you make it sound like the dolphins have been in state of disaray for ever.

that is not the case.

shula was basically a one man show when he was the HC...pretty successful if you ask me.

then the fiasco with JJ and Wanny, and the travesty with Saban.

but, other than that, its been successful.

Seattle's HC is also the GM...they went to the SB last year and are a pretty successful franchise.

so, while I personally don't agree with that arrangement, it can work.

Your wrong on that because Seattle stripped Mike Holmgren of his GM duties a few years ago. Once they did that, they started to win. They brought in that guy from Atlanta to be the GM.
