2. Jerrell Adams / South Carolina / 6'6", 242

3. Pharaoh Brown / Oregon / 6'5", 241 (Best in the Senior class if he can play in '15. Has to come back from a devastating injury that almost cost him his leg)

4. Nick Vannett / Ohio St. / 6'6", 260

5. Jake McGee / Florida / 6'5", 255 (Transfer from Virginia broke his leg in season opener last year for Florida before he could even catch a pass in his new uni)

6. Kivon Cartwright / Colorado St. / 6'4", 245 (Another talented but injured TE)

7. Steven Scheu / Vanderbilt / 6'5", 255

8. Kyle Carter / Penn St. / 6'3", 245

9. Matt Weiser / Buffalo / 6'4", 245

12. Joshua Perkins / Washington / 6'4", 228

13. Alan Cross / Memphis / 6'1", 245 (Fired up his teammates last year before bowl game vs. BYU by headbutting players in the huddle without a helmet on until his head was bleeding. Loves football)

I seem to be a little higher on Scheu and Duzey, is there something I'm missing?

Tyler Higbee really caught my eye last year in the Marshall-WKY game. How could he not? He had 6 catches for 99 yards and 3 TDs.

But as I've watched a fair amount of Doughty this year trying to get my arms around where he should fall in the QB group, Higbee stands out more and more as a real driver in that passing game. That's what I had noticed during that fantastic performance a year ago that Doughty had against Marshall's defense as well.

I think he might be the top senior in this group. Hard to say as this is a position that's tough to figure out until you get all the data in, as the athleticism is very important.

But is it really? Tony Gonzalez and Antonio Gates were never burners...

Actually I'm pretty sure both were pretty fast. Regardless, athleticism isn't to be measured only by a 4.4 in the forty yard dash. Both were accomplished basketball players, similar to Jimmy Graham. Gates and Graham are really top examples of how athleticism can be more important than football acumen. Gates was tearing it up with the San Diego Chargers while admitting that he was still learning football via Madden games. Graham played a handful of college football games after transitioning from the basketball team, and a few short years later he's a dominant force in the NFL.
