Is it me or is this SR class really bad? The only guy that appears to be an NFL Starter (granted I haven't watched them all) is Deebo Samuel and even then he's a #3 WR IMO

It's not bad. Doesn't really stand out as being significantly better or worse than any other Senior WR class. In fact, it's better than last year's Senior WR class in my opinion.

There's more than one NFL starter on this list, and Deebo Samuel is likely more than a #3 receiver.

The main thing with this group of Seniors that stands out are all the wasted seasons and missed games due to injury from some really good players..... Deebo Samuel, Dorian Baker, Cody Thompson, Chris Platt, Mike Dudek, Jauan Jennings, Nick Westbrook, etc.

The list goes on.

Excellent stuff as always, Slimm. One guy I'm higher on is Terran Encalade. Still has rough spots and doesn't create as much separation as he should, but he's tough with the ball in the air, and his RAC is really smooth/natural. Kind of similar to a bigger Albert Wilson. Some things that remind me of Golden Tate, too, but I think Tate would be more like a ceiling than a realistic comparison at this point.

I think what's going to be interesting regarding this Senior class of WR's is how former Tennessee running back Jalen Hurd looks at wide receiver for Baylor. This kid is a former 5-star recruit who has completely transformed and reshaped his body more specifically to a receiver - going from 6'4", 240 when he was toting the rock in Knoxville, to a 6'4", 217 pound WR in Waco.

He was running 4.4, squatting 500 pounds, short shuttle times in the 3.9's, and a vertical of 40" when he was 240 pounds.

My feeling is that Hurd is either going to rise up my rankings in 2018, or fall completely out.

If WR doesn't work out, and with those tools, I wonder if an NFL team would give him a look at CB - assuming he's an UDFA.

Who knows. With numbers like that you can just about try him anywhere you want. However, I'm not sure I see a defensive player's mentality.

One of the main things I adore about A.J. Brown and Deebo Samuel is how they play the WR position with a defensive player's mentality.

Really intrigued with Anthony Johnson.

He's cousins with Jadeveon Clowney and Johnathan Joseph.

The guy has some serious skills, it's just going to come down to what he runs. But I think from what you can see of him, you know about what he's going to run, and that's good enough to bring a dominant skill set to the game.

Probably most resembles James Jones or Rishard Matthews from a size/athletic profile standpoint, but I think the skill set is ahead of where those guys were.

Actually his closest comparison may be Chad Johnson. He has that kind of total array of skills, in terms of creating separation, running after the catch, and playing the ball in the air off the defender about as well as you'll see.

Emanuel Hall is almost a 6'3" version of Calvin Ridley the way he uses footwork and jab steps to release. Outstanding route runner. He's always open.

We've talked about him before, but what the hell do you do with Tyre McCants?

Probably stick him in the CFL to replace "Thick Nik" Lewis.

But seriously how do you care so little that you get this fat as a wide receiver. And how do you have so much ability, that you can do THIS anyway:

In the NFL he either loses weight or becomes a fullback. That's not a great fit because I don't know that he can block like a fullback, and what LITTLE you see of fullbacks in the NFL nowadays...are real, genuine, lead blocking, Ford pickup types.

Speaking of UMass, Andy Isabella is more dynamic than he's given credit. 4.39 40 coming out of high school, and - as a converted RB - he's really tough with the ball in his hands. Think he'll have one of the best careers of this WR class.

I think I tweeted about him. He's legit impressive. And also an inevitable Patriot.
