Was it just me or did just about every play seem like everyone was in slow mo? I kept checking my remote to make sure that I didn't hit that button by accident. No urgency, no fire, no pop, no spark!!!!

I don't expect much this year but man I have seen backyard football have more chemistry.:rolleyes2:

thats what its like to have a young team.

The number one thing young players need to learn is exactly what you said 'pop'. Imagine entering the league, all your worrying about is not screwing up, not costing the team, not making any mistakes.

Now think about what a Vet is thinking. Kill em, win the game. Beat them.

See the difference? The young guys heads are all over the place, and even though they think their doing well by trying not to make mistakes, its the fact that their thinking at all thats screwing them up. It takes time to overcome.

QFT

Young teams are not going to have that same pop. This is not the year we challenge for the playoffs......I know I'm not a *True fan* because I said it, but there it is.

Well he's not a lightning in a bottle QB, like Favre. Hes methodical and, lets face it, a little boring. But he can move the ball and he gives the fish a chance. Which is more then we had last year.

Totally agree.

Agreed, He is a game manager, Lemon, Beck, Feeley are certainly not one of those.

How about "I'm going to have a heart attack the next time he throws the football" scary?? Not sure about anyone else, but that's the vibe I was feeling everytime he dropped back....

IN TUNA WE TRUST....

Really? After watching Joey Harrington, Cleo Lemon, John beck, and Culpepper the past few seasons, CHAD PENNINGTON is making you nervous?

I felt exactly the same man.

I'll tell you what was in slow motion, and that was our "hurry up offense." There didn't seem to be any urgency, IMO, to get to the line of scrimmage for the next play. I'm not talking about panic, just a realization of the game circumstances regarding time left, point deficit, and number of scoring drives needed to win the game.

lol @ Blitz. how did he make you nervous when he dropped back? Only thing I didn't like was his arm strength. If that guy had some pop to his throws he'd be a top 5 QB in this league no question
