Slow pace of rookie signings not unusual

I agree, things don't really seem that odd. I read on PFT the other day that actually half of the draft picks are already under contract. I remember just as recent as a few years ago that it was uncommon for teams to even start signing picks until July. Miami had half of their picks wrapped up before the end of June.
The only draft pick this regime failed to sign in time for the start of training camp was Chad Henne back in 2008. He missed the morning practice of day one but was signed in time for the afternoon practice. I don't see any reason why the Dolphins won't have everyone locked up in time for the start of camp.
