I've always hoped the team would target DeVante Parker at 14. He's the tall, physical red zone target we need (ok I know we now have Cameron, but we still need a WR). With Wallace gone we certainly need another starting WR. The one team I thought was sure to draft Parker was the Vikings. They had a need and Bridgewater knows him.

With Miami trading Wallace to them it all but makes sure they don't draft Parker and leaves the very strong possibility that he will be on the board at 14. If the plan is for Parker then trading the Vikings Wallace was very smart indeed.

I think it is obvious at this point that ditching Wallace was a priority for the FO. We may or may not draft a WR, but I do not think that trading Wallace indicates we are definitely taking a WR at 14. Wallace quit on the team. He was not going to be a Dolphin next year no matter what.

Oh I know it doesn't mean that it will be WR at 14, I'm just saying that if that is the case then that trade is a smart move. The safety Collins makes a lot of sense at 14, but we do still need a WR. Who knows

I do not see the team going receiver at 14 esp if Clay comes back.

I see Kendricks, Waynes (if he is there, but I doubt it) or perhaps an elite OG. Could they go for a big time RB?

I agree. Definitely Waynes or Kendricks. We need defense. Our LB core is putrid especially ILB. I'd love Kendricks but I'd be happy with Waynes. Maybe go WR in 2nd with a Rashad Greene.

Whether they draft a receiver at 14 or not, they still need a #1 receiver. Stills and Landry aren't #1 receivers. They would be good as the #2 and #3 receivers though. The Dolphins need a #1 receiver with some size and speed. I don't want to hear about how this team doesn't need an alpha receiver in this offense. Every team could use an alpha receiver.

Exactly, hence my thinking about the Wallace trade and Parker at 14

I wouldn't be shocked if they skipped receiver until the later rounds if the top 3 guys aren't there @14.. Maybe they'd want to develop Hazel this year?? Idk. I just hope one of White, Cooper or Parker is there when they pick.

Well then it is Waynes and Gurly time or just go Crazy and get Davis/Brown to make our DLINE historic

The corner class is slightly deeper (in terms of talent drop off) than WR imo. If it's WR and CB in 1 and 2 I see it in that order as opposed to CB then WR.

If we go WR we need someone with size and speed and Dorial Green-Beckham fits the bill. Maybe we can trade down and pick up an extra pick. I know he's a risk but if he drops some weight he can be a special player.

The way I see it, Wallace was productive, not to his contract but thats beyond the point, 10 tds is nothing to sneeze at, BUT what he did in week 17 was inexcusable, he basically burned a lot of bridges with the front office, ownership, coaches, players especially tannehill. I say good riddance!! Its not that he isn´t a Team guy or has too much personality, it´s the fact that what he did week 17 is INEXCUSABLE. I for one am glad he is Gone!, draft a WR 1st or second round and we can start building one of the better Wr cores from the gound up. Stills, mathews, Landry, insert....Parker, OBG, whoever. I think in lazors system you dont need great WR´s just WRs who can run good routes and quick routes. ( not wallace´s strenghth) IF we use thata money we saved one that bum to resign CLAY (standup team guy, productive) and pair him up with Cameron, than I am excited.
