Smith Sounds Interested in 49ers

A few on here put out rumors that Smith wasn't interested or excited about playing for the 49ers - perhaps an attempt at wishful thinking, in hopes that his supposed non-interest would push the 49ers away and into our hands.

However, Smith's latest visit to the SF yielded this comment about the 49ers:

"Obviously, this is a young team. This is not something that's going to be turned around right away," Smith said. "We're not going to be winning Super Bowls next year, I don't imagine, although we'd like to."

Sounds like he expects to be on the team.

I am sure he is hoping so. Who wouldn't want to be the 1st QB taken in the draft?
