I'm assuming this is how they will line up. This should be a lot of fun to watch but the Davis/Welker scares me more for some reason. I can see Davis gambling and Welker can make you look bad quick if you screw around and go for the ball instead of the tackle. (Not that Moss can't do the same) I don't mind that Davis is a gambler it's one of the things I use to love about T-Buck, I'm just not sure it's a good idea this week.

Anyway the point of the thread is to ask which match-up has you more worried?

Welker isn't lined up on the outside much, and when he is im really not too worried, with the sidelines on one side and his lack of stretch the field speed, hes MUCH easier to contain on the outside... but thats why he plays in the slot more, and i dont think Davis or Smith have played in the slot for 1 snap this season...

which means when Welker is in the slot it'll probably be Jones covering him... but regardless the Moss matchup worries me more, he can do big chunk damage which has been our main problem defending, while welker tries to kill you slowly...

Yeah I don't think we ever lineup matchup wise. I think we just have a right corner and a left corner. I've always wished Miami would line them up to cover certain guys but I don't think they ever do, someone please correct me if I'm wrong. With that said, pressure on brady will be the key. Welker and Watson can probably win their matchups rather easily and Moss is Moss. Our Rookie corners are great atheletes and IMHO have a great future but they are rookies. The key will be Brady and we cannot wouss out of blitzing if it's working.

Call me silly if you like, but I think this will be the game where our CB's come out of their shells and let the world know they are for real. It's been slowly cultivating for a few games.
Davis by far is getting better and better. Smith has had a few long pass plays which were more him not looking for the ball or being taken out of position by an expereince receiver.
Coach that up and we might be in for a surprise.

Shut down moss early and you know he gets frustrated and basically gives up.

Size and speed-wise, I think Smith matches up well with Moss and I'm hoping he will bounce back from last week's issues and do a good job on Moss. It's a huge challenge for him but may be just what he needs to get the confidence to grow as a DB.

As the other poster mentioned, I don't know how often Davis will be matched up with Welker but I will say this, I hope Davis knocks the living snot out of that treacherous little *******. Welker would be nowhere if Miami hadn't given him a chance to prove himself and then as soon as another team, a division rival no less, offers him a prettier penny he jumps ship.

Welker was one of my favorite players, now, everytime I see him I'm hoping he is on the receiving end of a karmatic pancake block. In fact, when he dies I hope he goes to a special football Hell where he spends eternity running across the middle for a Brady dump off Over and over only to get Jacked from the blindside by Zach Thomas every time. Does that sound bitter?

More than these two guys I'm worried about Brady having a field day with their TE after last week against the Jets it proves that we can make any average TE look like a pro bowler since we been having problems all year covering these guys

Love your enthusiasm :) but we traded him.He didnt jump ship. I do however hope we knock the **** out of him.

Please don't spoil my delusion Chubby, I don't need "facts" getting in the way of what "feels" right.

They're going to move Moss around to get the matchup they want. I'm more worried about Moss vs Jones

As someone said - getting pressure on Brady will be the key. For us to do this means we need to send guys on blitzes which means Welker becomes the hot read a lot. So whomever we have on Welker becomes a bigger issue in my eyes. We know Moss is going to get some catches but with Smith and 2 deep coverage I hope we can contain him - hope is the key word because Smith has been lucky on a few underthrown balls this year which has allowed him to recover from separation he has allowed. I doubt Davis will be on Welker, but if he does that scares me even more as Davis seems to like to give some big cushions and has been beat up a bit on the underneath stuff. Welker is one of the best at getting open underneath and with Brady getting him the ball quickly, he becomes very dangerous for us.

I'm wondering if they let Wake out of the cage this week, abondon defending the run with him and let him do his thing? If ever there is a game we need to focus on the pass and generate max pressure, it is this game.

Vontae won't match up with Welker. Main reason Welker is so effective is they play him in the slot and get him matched up with an LB, so Welker vs Channing/Akin/Reggie scares me. Maybe we try to match him up with Nate Jones (who really hasn't done that bad in coverage)

Moss isn't what he was 2 years ago, but the guy can still make great plays. I think whoever covers him will win some battles, and lose some... unless it's Jason Allen (poor guy, but that was rough last year). We'll more than likely have Culver or Clemons giving help against Moss (last 2 games that's what we've done instead of it being Wilson or Bell)

Julian Edelman is another interesting matchup for us.

Not so worried about the TEs. Yeah Watson and Baker are reliable TEs, but neither are the "WR in a TE body" we struggle with (Watson could've been, but never developed)

The trade was business, but Welker started running his mouth after the trade that is why i hate the little *****.

Nobody will loose sleep over Welker if you focus on him you can take him out of the game, the same can't be said for Moss he can beat triple coverage and make it look easy if he gets rolling. Too bad Will Allen is out, he could have made Welker a non factor.

Sorry, but I think our inside linebackers are going to get torched again as will our starting safeties...NOTHING has been done to solve this problem and we continue to get torched by opposing teams tight ends.

Now we play a team that has Welker,Moss,Watson, and Brady
with an xtra week to prepare

The ONE chance I believe that we do have is a constant pass rush but then again where has that been this season???

Jt is playing better than most thought but is still out of position and Porter is playing terrible with only 12 tackles and 2.5 sacks all season with one of the sacks a freebe when no one blocked him.

Wake in limited playing time has 10 tackles and 2.5 sacks almost the same production and playing 200+ LESS DEFENSIVE PLAYS!!!!

Anyone think Porter is a problem?
Well you should!!! and don't start with what he did last year or he's injured either because he sucked the last few games last season and continues through this season.

Porter continues to be our #1 cheerleader and singer of"WHO DAT"
BUT AS A PLAYER HE JUST DISAPPEAR'S AND HIS PRODUCTION THIS SEASON IS POOR AT BEST.

No pass rush versus Brady and this team might see a loss like it has never seen...

vontae is going to knock welker the f u c k out.
