Apparently it cost him 7 Million+ dollars in draft position and with the litigious society that we live in does his advisors, who undoubtedly will get a piece of any pie that there is, recommend that he sue once the hacker is identified??????? Does this become a major distraction or does it just wind its way through the court system?:err:

Laremy (sp)

i doubt he pursues it

While it's wrong and illegal to hack somebody's account, I don't think it's slander to show a picture of someone doing something if it's actually that person in the picture. If someone takes a picture or video of a player acting a fool I don't know they can stop the picture from going public.

If his account was hacked and they can identify the hacker, I would prosecute and sue.
If this picture was available on social media, something that he posted, or it was an image owned by someone else, and they posted, I would let it go.
It was him in the picture, that much is true.
He should just fess up(which he did) and change his ways going forward as long as he is playing football..

I think the big question is, does the person who hacked his account have enough assets for it to actually be worth going after them?

My guess is 'absolutely not.'

The cost of keeping the issue in the public mind would likely be greater than what he could get in court.

Yeah. I mean, if the hacker turns out to be someone who actually has a significant amount of assets he can go after, then he should certainly at least consider taking that person to court.

But given the unlikelihood that the hacker has a few million dollars in seizable assets sitting around, and the fact that he's already said he doesn't want to go after anybody in court, I doubt it happens.

If Twitter failed to have appropriate safeguards to prevent hacking, it could possibly be sued.

And what will he get? Possibly a nice judgment against the hacker, but this hacker probably doesn't have a pot to piss in so it is not really worth it. Let it go and move forward.

Exactly.

It ain't slander if it's true. :idk:

He needs to move on and get as far away from that distraction as possible.
