We'll lose at NE and the playoffs hopes are over. Then we win 2 meaningless games to end 9 and 7, out of the playoffs with a lower pick in the draft then since we win our last 2 everyone will think the team is going in the right direction and we're just a couple of players away from the super bowl. Now tell me how this year is any different from any other year. I heard earlier this year that "this team is different ". People were all over me when I suggested this might be the same old Dolphins. Well, can't anyone blame me for thinking the season will end the way I described above?

New England smashes us breaks what's left of their spirit, and it gets embarrassing from there.

We go 3-0.......positive thinking....reality 2-1 an no playoffs.

Actually, with a couple of upsets in the AFC we can still garner the 6th seed at 9-7...not likely, but anything can happen. I say enjoy football until the bitter end, and remain hopeful. We only get to watch this game 4 months out of the year!

Even if we go 3 and 0 we won't make the playoffs now imo. But we'll be drafting lower.

Imagine that... They beat us so bad we go on and lose to Minny then lose to NY. I can totally see it happening.

I agree. Remember last year when San Diego had like a 5% chance of getting into the playoffs in the final 2 weeks of the season and everything fell right for them and they got in at 8-8? They were not a good team last year, but they even advanced to the 2nd round.

Upset New England, sneak by Minny....Then lay an egg with playoffs on the line at home against the lowly Jets. THAT would "so Dolphins"
Can someone find that "That's so Dolphins" thread. I feel like I have a shot to be pretty dang close to my prediction

Why not? We'd still be 10-6 and our head to head tiebreakers won't come into play because it will likely go by conference record. San Diego and Kansas City both have tough schedules, so I don't see either getting to 10 wins.

Don't underestimate the surprises we can receive from this team, after all it is Christmas time!!! I think we will loose 2 of the next three. Loosing to NE is a FACT, but then we can always loose to the Jerks or to a bad wikings team. 8-8 an another mediocre season until we find a good coach. Honestly I would give Hickey, Benton and Lazor another chance, the rest of them I don't care. Time to think on some other options at QB in case Tannehill never gets to the required level.

This team has a much better chance of finishing 1-2 (with a loss at NE and a split of the last two) than it does of finishing 2-1 or 3-0. So far the team has shown itself incapable of winning late season games with the playoffs on the line; why expect that they'll come out motivated to win now that it's all over but the shouting?
