A few thoughts -

First, WOW! The amount of dolphins fans was absolutely mind blowing. I no doubt saw a crazy amount more of dolphins fans than jets. Great work and great showing!!

2nd, this defense will get us no where in the playoffs, they are really really ugly. It was a very pathetic performance.

3rd, Tannehill just seems very very average in person. He stares down everyone and rarely looks at other options. So many times there were open receivers & he stares down in his box of 10 yards or less. This kid needs to open up.

4th, we really need better play calling on both sides of the ball. Honestly not a fan of these game plans.

5th, I was in box seats, loved it!! Great time, almost had a heart attack. Did I mention how amazing the showing of fins fans there were!?

Oh last but not least, I hope Caleb gets fired ASAP, what a worthless piece of crap player. I never saw such garage in my life. FU Sturgis.

Thanks!

I won't make an over stretching excuse for Tannehill but I will say that in the games where he is getting pressured like no other is where you see the lack of progression reads taking place. I still think having any faith in this offensive line is like pouring water into a sieve. It may hold long enough to make some things happen but it will never be secure enough to feel good behind. Jets good front line + poor blocking + low snaps = short/quick passes. 1st read/2nd read type stuff. Get the ball out quick and let them try to make a play.

Again, I'm no football expert but this is just how I see things.

All those fin fans were in sections 344-347. 1100+ tickets purchased and organized by dolfansnyc.com. I was sitting right in the middle of 346 and it was amazing.

Pretty much how it was.

Not to get into the details of the passing game but if the OL can't be depended on to hold any block for more than 1.5 seconds, it impacts play calling and timing even when they hold 2.5 seconds.

Anyone watch Aaron Rodgers on Sunday? He could pump fake at 2.5 seconds, reset his feet, find another read and STILL step into his throw down the field. And on plays where he had less than 3.5 seconds to throw, he still had a pocket at 2.5 seconds 90 percent of the time.

That's how a real OL plays.

Miami has never seen that -- only one or two games this year where a consistent pocket started to form.

When you are able to hard count on the road in a one score game that says all you need to know about the local fanbase.

We're not doing anything in the playoffs on the road period. As far as the playoffs are concerned being based in South Florida is both a blessing and a curse. Its a curse because we'll probably never be a good road playoff team. But its a blessing because the homefield advantage margin gets bigger and bigger the later you go into winter. If luck is on our side and we can somehow get that number 2 seed...look out.

One thing you would have noticed, and if you didn't the announcers spelled it out for you, is how devastating that little move Rodgers makes where he steps up then back is on the defensive line. I don't know if he was coached to do that or he just came up with it on his own, but its very effective at slowing down a pass rush and buying time in the pocket.

You're missing the real point big time.

The real point is that Rodgers can't do that "devastating little move" if he's behind Miami's OL.

He makes that cute move one time and then he eats the ball and gets crushed.

Thanks for sharing your observations from the stadium!

Gruden made an interesting observation that touched on this. There was a play where Landry was open in the seam, but Tanehill hit someone else on a crossing route. Gruden pointed out that although Landry was open, Tanehill made the right pass per the play design. He said in this west coast style offense, that crossing route was the #1 read by design, and Tannehill found him. He said that Tannehill ran the play exactly like he should have by locating his first read and delivering if open. Landry was a later read, and if the first wasn't open, he would have then seen Landry. Given Gruden's experience with west coast, I buy what he's saying.

Using Aaron Rodgers as the benchmark for Ryan Tannehill is going to set you up for disappointment. Ryan played well tonight. He made 1 bad decision with the ball when he pegged Pace in the face and the INT was on Miller. Sure it wasn't a perfect throw but Miller needs to catch that or at the very least not bat it up in the air.

I thought at times he stared down his receivers a bit but he usually connected when he did. There were other times were he looked off coverage very nicely.

I was also at the game sitting behind Dolphins bench and it was filled with Fin fans. It was awesome.

Really? Because my eyes tell me we are a much better road team than home team the past few years. I like our chances in a road wildcard game, IF we can get in. That's the big IF.

Starting the official Orlando Franklin 2015 bandwagon. This offense needs better protection, Tannehill can't go through his reads and we can't develop any plays down the field.

Being at the game too I was impressed with how many fins fans were there. It was like a cold northern home game. I don't blame the jests for running and trying to slow the pace of the game. If the fins would have gotten up big early the stadium would have been loud for the fish. Ugly game- nice to see a win

I saw Tannehill in person his rookie year in AZ. 400+ yards, he looked very impressive. Sorry you had to see one of his worst games live. It was pretty ugly.
