which is a complete possibility, how much leverage does Miami relinquish back to Denver considering sparano and co jobs are on thr line? Will Ross intervene and demand we trade for Orton. Surely we can't be comfortable with Moore as the starting qb in this scenario although realistically it wouldn't be much different if Henne shows no improvement. I know with the strike and what transpired last season with Henning, Henne really has his back against the wall but this is a definite possibility given his camp struggles and shortened pre-season.

I'd like to think they won't let it get that far...I really would like to think the FO will do SOMETHING about the QB position this week. But yeah, if Henne sucks, sure, Denver gets leverage.

The thing is, Denver is really screwing themselves by keeping Orton despite the salary cap damage. But since they're clearly in Suck for Luck mode, it doesn't really matter now does it? Elway is like a cackling psychopath, giggling as he razor blades his arms. You can't win against one of those.

If they do they need to make a decision fast. We already had a super short training camp, and now rushing into the preseason. They need to start learning the playbook and fast or we are going to have a super sloppy offense for yet ANOTHER season....

Devlin or Pryor (and Pryor kills me being a Penn State student).

Orton trade is too late. Tebow has been so bad so far he is about to be passed by Brady Quinn for 2nd team on the depth chart

Orton is going noplace!

Is that what John elway said or the Denver media? With Henne not having a good start to the mini-camp it would be in Denver's best interest to report inaccuracies..

Anything is possible.

If you asked me 24 hrs ago if JT would be back.. I'd say hell no!

Denver isn't in the same position we are. We're trying to win now (I know, I know). Denver is rebuilding.

Denver knows that Henne sucks. They are still waiting for us to get desperate and pay there demands for him or we stick to our guns and gamble on what we have for this year.

Sadly if he tanks the pre-season we may have no choice and they know that.

I wouldn't want to trade ANY assets for a stopgap QB that late into the year.

How in the hell would a new QB be expected to even learn the playbook, let alone develop any chemistry in that short a time period? :bobdole:

We'll probably grab Bulger and set up a triage in the corner of the end zone

At this point we have no choice but to deal with Henne for the year. Hopefully he can be better with a new OC and some added weapons. With the defense we have now, he really only needs to be decent for us to win games...
How long till the start Devlin threads begin??

With Henne not having a good start to the mini-camp
Newsflash... nearly all QB's look like crap at this point in training camp. Go read the camp reports for any team and you'll find the same thing, rusty offenses still getting their timing down.

When have preseason games ever honestly been used to bench a starting QB?
