Seasoned Veteran
1. St.Lou - J.Clausen QB
2. Det - N.Suh DT
3. TB - G.McCoy DT
4. Wash - S.Bradford QB
5. KC - R.McClain ILB
6. Sea - R.Okung OT
7. Cleveland - they would have possibly taken QB but none are worthy at this point, defense is a big need led by CB. J.Haden could be selected as easily as E.Berry but Hadden is the only one that could easily be had at
1(12) saving a tonne of money while picking up starters.
The Browns organization is/has been primarily a cheap team trying to save a buck or two here and there (why else is Mangini still there, they don't want to pay 2 head coaches not to coach and then a 3rd to actually coach). They also have shown the willingness to make draft day trades to help the team out in the long run. I would offer 1(12) pick where they still could get J.Haden CB, P.Merling DE, W.Allen CB and G.Wilson SS.
G.Wilson at this point is expendable, W.Allen gives them a veteran CB to school Hadden and start across from him, P.Merling gives them a young starting DE full of promise.
It's alot to give up to move up 5 spots but we do need to entice them to not select E.Berry and go with J.Haden later and get quality starters on top of that. I didn't use any more picks because Cleveland is loaded with picks this year and I thought starting players would be more enticing to them especially for Mangini who's probably going to be on the hot seat this year.
So what would you do?
