Well, It's now officially the last day of the worst decade in Dolphins history. May the next decade bring us some championships and tons of jealousy and envy from our rivals. :beer1:

If the Fins win this weekend, they will finish the decade at excatly .500... Very hard to believe as bad as things have been. Believe it or not, there has only been 3 losing seasons this decade. It will be 4 if they lose on Sunday. Not too shabby, but we've come to expect better over the years.

Actually... since the Gregorian calendar begins counting from the year 1, not the year 0, 2010 is actually the last year of the current decade which began January 1, 2001.

more of a disappointing decade. Wasnt really totally awful except 2004 and 2007.

2006 was pretty awful too, 6-10, and especially considering what Saban did to us at the end. But the worst part was making the playoffs only twice, and not winning a single playoff game.

Hopefully the next decade is much more Dolphin friendly.

Some lowlights of this decade:

1. First game was a 21-10 loss to the Redskins
2. Dan Marino retires without a Super Bowl ring
3. Jimmy Johnson quits on us and leaves us with the Wannstache
4. 62-7 playoff loss to the Jaguars
5. Monday Night Meltdown against the Jets.
6. Picking Jamar Fletcher over Drew Brees
7. Picking Eddie Moore over Anquan Boldin
8. Meltdown against the Patriots in 2002 that kept us out of the playoffs
9. The Ricky Williams saga
10. Daunte Culpepper over Drew Brees
11. 1-15
12. Hiring Cam Cameron
13. Hiring Nick Satan

These are just some of the many Dolphins **** ups this decade

Man....looking over that list, who or what the hell cursed this team for the last 10+ years?!?!!?!?

This weekends game falls in the next decade...not the current one so if we win we will be 1-0 in the next decade.

well according to the mayan calendar, we have approx 3 years before all of the miami dolphins disintegrate into thin air. now with that being said do you think the fins will win a super bowl before all of our untimely deaths approaching?

I'll drink to that! On to bigger and better things!

*thinks* Wanny/Fiedler.....I just threw up a little in my mouth!

The Phins beat the Colts in the first round of the playoffs with Lamar Smith didn't they?

I've been working on a decade in review for my Dolphins blog. I'm not even close to being done, and I was going to share when I was, but I can give you what I'm working on now. Currently I'm working on the top 10 worst moments of the decade.
As you can see, this is a work in progress...

1.Saban quits/Huisinga press conference/1-15
These are all intertwined, even though you could say numbers 2, 3, and 6 were related to this as well. I'll never forget the moment. I was flying home from visiting relatives in Florida for the holidays. I was in the airport when the official word came in the Saban was leaving Miami for Alabama. I had a two hour wait for my flight, so I watched as CNN showed Wayne Huisinga's press conference, where he asked the frigging media for suggestions on what to do. I should have seen 1-15 coming right then and there. When I boarded my flight, there were a few Alabama football fans on the plane, sitting just two rows in front of me. They spent the entire flight to Boston talking about how excited they were for Saban to coach Alabama.
Like I said, what followed next should have been predicted. They hired a guy with no head coaching success as a panic move. Ginn and Beck followed as the first two picks of the draft. The 1-15 season was torture. I remember on numerous occasions when ESPN would let all journalistic integrity fall by the wayside and simply laugh at us.

2. 2004-Ricky Williams retires
Another moment I'll never forget. It was July 24th, the day before my sister's birthday. I was visiting her for her birthday and we went out to a party. When I got home and saw the news headline on ESPN at around 2 in the morning, I thought I was just too drunk and was seeing things. It wasn't until the next morning when I realized how real it was.

3.Wanny's contract extension after 2003

4. 2002-Home field advantage throughout to missing the playoffs in two weeks

5. 2000: 62-7

6. 2006: Culpepper over Brees

7. 2000: Monday Night Meltdown vs. Jets

8. 2009: Blowing a 24-3 lead to the Saints

9. 2003-2009: 0-5 vs. Houston Texans

10. 2003: Swept by the Patriots

Honorable Mention: 2009 vs. San Diego Chargers
