I was just thinking about this, and man we have a lot of key players with a history of injuries we need to stay healthy in order to have success. Parker, Foster, Alonso, Albert, Culliver....to a lesser injury extent Ajayi, Howard, and even Drake. Am I missing anyone? Oh, ya Wake, James, and Pouncey coming back from injuries. We really need some luck for all of the guys to stay healthy! It is insane! I can't remember us ever being I a situation like this to start a season!

Maybe part of it is due to Miami being so desperate for good players and reversing the losing that the franchise is willing to take any risks necessary hoping they can find lightning in a bottle.

Yes, absolutely! Bad drafting, especially in the Jeff Ireland years has put us in a situation where we have to try and build through the draft and stay competitive by rolling the dice. We just haven't been lucky in the past with oft injured players. Moreno, Albert, Delmas highlight a long list of high hope injured players that still have had major issues staying healthy or are out of the league. Grimes is about the only one who really worked out in this category. Hopefully our luck can change!

I agree. But nobody is safe from injuries.I do pray that they stay healthy.

It's going to be a process, but at least these players - outside of Albert and Parker - are relatively inexpensive. With the possible exception of Foster, none of the players are run down. Injuries happen, and some guys appear snake bit, but based on my understanding of the injuries to these players, none are at greater risk than they would be had they not been injured (assuming rehab went/goes correctly).

2016 will be fun, because a modest result with the right trajectory will satisfy most. Lots of questions, and we really don't know most of the answers. Health always plays a key part, but if some guys go down, and Miami misses the playoffs, not many are expecting playoffs anyway. If things break right, the team will be much better than people expect. If they don't, the team will still improve - unless Gase and Joseph don't live up to the hype, but so far so good.

luckily i think albert's insurance policy is solid enough to where we can live w/ him missing games, but alonso is the major one in my eyes...him and devante, but for parker you just have to cross your fingers and hope his injury history is more just a blip on the radar than a bankable trend

Ya, Parker has me worried as he is such a talent and number 1 pick! Feet can be tricky and especially for receivers! I can't but help to think of McDuffies career being over for just a toe issue.....but when a receiver can't explode and cut, they are done!

Completely agree. All fo the guys wont work out but some of them will. There are a few that are a MUST. Kiko, Williams or Wake, Ajayi, and Howard are going to be very critical.

I know what you mean. But everybody is in that boat. Imagine Brees gets a rotator cuff tear. Rodgers tears an ACL. Watt tears a pec. Every team is an injury or so away. That's why quality depth is so crucial. And coaching.

I definitely get that but we are well over what I would consider average in players with huge question marks beside them as it relates to not only injuries but recent significant injuries! I am so glad Tunsil fell to us because over the last 2 years, an injury to Albert and the shuffle that has to take place has had a huge negative impact on the O-line and thus the team!

Yep, but what can you do. It's better than having absolutely nothing or complete trash. Just have to keep our fingers crossed. This season probably has more what ifs than any I can think of recently

I belive this is a Tannabaum trade mark gambling on injured players and their rehab. We let a lot of young healthy talent walk off the team this year which outside of OV were affordable to keep. We traded away draft picks in this years draft in an attempt to fill those gaps.
