I know we lost yesterday (we played hard) but coming off a 1-15 season what a turn around.

Fins fans hold you head high the future is so bright for this team just a matter of time till we dominate!

Rome wasn't built in a day.

I agree, even though we lost I loved how this team competed..would yeild anything....and the O kept coming back, too young to be as consistent as it needed to be, but answer time after time... I loved the game, hated the loss.

100% agreed ... Last years team coulda woulda never put up 28 points...

Maybe not, probably not that week 14 team or whatever week it was that we played the Patriots late in the season and got shelled in Foxboro. The team that started Cleo Lemon, was without Ronnie Brown, the traded Chris Chambers, never had Ricky Williams to begin with, had an offensive line without the talent of Jake Long and Justin Smiley and the solid play of Anthony Fasano and David Martin at TE.

You have to be proud of this team, heck i would be proud of this team if we finished the season 7-9. Sure yesterdays loss was gutwrenching, and losses this season to teams like Houston and the Jets still are eating away at me. But they have made a HUGE improvement in just a single year over that trash we had to sit through last season. We look like a team now that with some tweaks in the off-season could actually be a legitimate contender, and thats something you can get excited about for once. It is not that eternal tunnel of darkness that we have had in recent years that has had fans wondering "will we ever turn it around?".

Truthfully I wanted a win but realistically I wasn't expecting a win..., I knew we had our hands full and I expecting "Bill" to try to rub some salt in so who cares..., Joey and Channing (will be signed) are geeked up for next year already... The Offense will be improved and RB will get more than 10 carries next year... I think RB averaged like 10 carries against "Pats" this year..., not enough...

These are the threads that I want to see here, this team is on it's way to big things and a lot faster than anybody thought.

I did not think we would win either, but the way we played defensively was down right pathetic. It really was inexcusable, it was an embarrassment, it was shameful and it was HUGELY disappointing. I guess i could accept it a LITTLE easier if Tom Brady was leading the Patriots, one of the great all-time Quarterbacks. Cassel certainly is a good QB, who has proven he can play and done a very fine job keeping New England together. But give me a break. The Patriots were UNSTOPPABLE yesterday, and that just should not have been the case.

We didn't smother Seattles Offense or Oaklands Offense so what would realistically speaking leave me to believe that we could handle NE...?

Cassell is mobile..., not a statue... we have few players on our D who would start on our other franchises..., we are assembling young DEs and they need some playing time...

Frankly we need a C and Fergie won't be here forever..., we need a NT to play in this division... Satale could be moved to Guard quite easily...

We did fine against them the first game. I realize it was a different Patriots team still trying to figure things out, but we were able to pressure Cassel, we were able to bully their WRs and complete shut down their offense to only 13 points. Now all of a sudden against us they are a potent fire breathing monster capable of putting up 500 yards?

It is not like i was expecting this game to be 9-6 Patriots with both teams held under 200 yards. I figured the Patriots would get 23 points or so, win the game by 6 or 7. Cassel has a nice day for maybe 240-250 yards.

But no, we decided to completely not show up at all on defense. Which infuriates me. We never gave our offense a chance. That is a shame.

Yes, Yes. At the begining of the season, 8 - 8 would have been considered a miracle. Our expectations have been raised because we have been so starved for victory and success. There is no shame in losing to the Patriots. Even better, we split with them. Truth is, we have been overacheiving. You don't lose to Houston the way we did, and barely win home games vs. Seattle and Oakland, and expect to be contenders. We all know that it is not our time yet. The fact that we get can show emotion and passion again is a great thing. I actually showed so much "passion" during yesterday's game that my wife left the room and refused to return. Been a long time since that happened. The bottom line is that our' team is on the right track and ahead of schedule. We all need to be patient and passionate, keep supporting the team, and let Bill, Tony, and Jeff do their thing.

Good to see some positives vibes on the board. The team has been competing hard all year and we are a couple plays from being in first place. Finally getting my value out of the Sunday Ticket!!

The game plan the Patriots used yesterday is almost identical to the one used versus Pittsburg 2 or 3 years ago. It is a game plan specifically tailored to beat a 3-4 defense. You must have a good line, a calm QB, a lot of talent at WR, and good coaching to run it. It takes a fantastic 3-4 defense to beat this game plan. We do not have the talent to stop this scheme. The Patriots could not run this at our first meeting because Cassel was not ready for it. They simple out coached us and out played us.

The MAIN thing in stopping a 5 wide set is the Def line.

Giants Def line vs Tom Brady= Giants Superbowl

We'll see.... They didn't prove much yesterday accept how to lose big. Ya gotta win games like that. They have 5 more games to prove it. hopefully they go 5-0.
