Correct. Even though we're not going to show everything in this game, there will be basic elements of gameplanning and there will be extended action of starters vs starters. Typically you will also get one drive from the starters after halftime to try out minor adjustments.
So while you can point to this game and say "It's just preseason!" I always remember the words of the late, great Denny Green. You can find value in looking at how the starters perform against one another in this game.
One other thing I'm gonna throw out there, Matt Ryan looked terrible last season, I don't know what happened, but his play fell off a cliff. I am not going to get too excited if our pass defense does well against Atlanta. If 2015 Matt Ryan is back, that won't be an indicator of much.
