So This Week, This Is The Game Right?

Traditionally, yes. You see some game-planning and starters into the 3rd quarter.
 
Im so excited for this season! I fully expect 0 - 8 and out of the play off picture even faster than the regular face-plant teams of the last decade which can only mean...

Either Im right and not nearly disappointed as I have been since #13 retired OR they actually win a couple in the 1st half of the schedule and shock the world!...WaHOOOOOO!!!!
 
I am most worried about our lack of runnibg game and porous defense. It's pre-season but if it means anything at all we're in big big trouble.
 
Our linebackers are going to be what brings our defense down imo. We need to generate a consistant pass rush from the d-line to help cover our weaknesses. If not then we're going to be sunk. Our linebackers are abysmal.
 
It's still a preseason game at the end of the day, still can't read too much into it.
 
a few days of practice with tunsil at LG and turner or bushrod at RG should help the running game (fingers crossed)
 
I'm going to that game and hoping to see some resemblance of a defense and the offense conituing to improve.

Correct. Even though we're not going to show everything in this game, there will be basic elements of gameplanning and there will be extended action of starters vs starters. Typically you will also get one drive from the starters after halftime to try out minor adjustments.

So while you can point to this game and say "It's just preseason!" I always remember the words of the late, great Denny Green. You can find value in looking at how the starters perform against one another in this game.

One other thing I'm gonna throw out there, Matt Ryan looked terrible last season, I don't know what happened, but his play fell off a cliff. I am not going to get too excited if our pass defense does well against Atlanta. If 2015 Matt Ryan is back, that won't be an indicator of much.
 
Too bad that Xazier Howard won't play in this game
