So was Chad Henne the problem all along?

Another thing to note.

Matt Moore is currently rated #10 at Quarterback ranking in the NFL.

The QB's ahead of him

Rodgers, Brady, Brees, Romo, Schaub, Eli Manning, Alex Smith, Big Ben, Matt Stafford.
Not a bad list to be trailing
And way ahead of all the rookies

Newton 16
Dalton 17
Ponder 24
Gabbert 31

Its been a while since we had someone near the top.

In 2008 CP11 was 2nd overall.

In 2009 Henne was 22nd.
In 2010 Henne was 22nd.

Henne was certainly part of the problem.

While I'd love to have Newton and agreed, there is no real comparison, the fact remains that a post-concussed Moore had more or less the same outcomes on a total 2 win team without the benefit of rushing for his own TDs or 1st downs that Newton is producing on an upgraded version. Just for some perspective when the bashing for 2010 clouds the praise for 2009. :idk:

Love to have Newton also.

Hopefully Moore can continue his hot streak and end the year in the top 10.

Considering the defenses we will face he has a chance.

The last 5 games we played against the 19th ranked scoring defense on average.
The next 4 games also average out to 19th best defenses.

We should be putting up 30 a few more time this year.

But... But... According to a certain un-named hotdog deepthroater fan above he's only playing well because he has no pressure...

Of course, I'm quite certain the only "pressure" that tool knows anything about is when he's told to "just bite down on the pillow, you're gonna feel a slight pinch followed by a little pressure"

Playing well with the playoffs on the line and playing well when your are virtually eliminated are a bit different, agreed.

But, Moore will face plenty of pressure in the final 4 games even with playoffs out of reach.

This could be his final chance at a starting gig in the NFL and winning 3 of 4 could keep him starting next year.

He made a 4 million in 4 seasons with Carolina, another 5 million for this year and next.

4 good games to finish the season could be the difference in him making $9M as a pro or possibly setting himself up for life with a longer contract at starting qb money.

I'd call that a little bit of pressure.

Nah Henne was not the entire problem...just about 90% of it.

When you got a guy that has bad field vision so he cant read defenses right, stares down recievers, can't throw unless its a 100 mph fast ball and for the most part has the pocket presence of an old lady your going to struggle and we have/did.
