No way I am calling him a choker after 1 game. That being said a lot of his balls were off target, short or low. I noticed a lot of short or low balls in preseason too. What do you think the reason for this is. It can't be all miscommunication and route running. And for the anit-neg people there is nothing wrong with looking at your problem areas.

Also I didn't see a thread on Saban's flag challenge. What was that? Seems to me he wasn't too sure of himself. Anyone else think that?

Still looking to the playoffs for the record.

He looked like a good QB,thats been out for awhile,He will
be okay.

He looked like a QB that is human. He had a terrible knee injury and he is way ahead of schedule . . . he was tenative and did alot of hesitating. He didn't wanna go thru his progressions because he felt like he didn't have time to. He was stuck on one read and tried to make the play happen. Its to be expected from him comming off of injury and I feel it will take a few weeks to get him more settled . .. but him starting last night is just amazing to me.

Bad lame throws like the one intender for Ike Taylor in the endzone. If two INTs in two drives late in the fourth quarter...when the Steelers only have a 4 point lead...I dont know how thats not a big choke. The Pass was thrown right into Porters hands...he just caught it while running on his way to the endzone. His greatest playing is most likely gone. His best and greatest years were that of having Moss and Chris Carter. Chris Carter is definitley a HOF'er, Moss could be too...

This could be . . . but even if it is . . . his arm strength and versatitlity still make him the best QB we have had under center since Marino. I'm gonna give him more than one game to prove that.

ROFLMAO

So OK he is rusty, but why are many of the balls low? And some were way off down field, I can only assume he threw them away that is how off they looked to me.

Any talk of the challenge flag?

Lack of mobility, a few low thrown balls. It appears he forced some throws at the end of the game. He will improve over time.

He looked good. He just has some rust he has to shake off.

So you don't think he threw a lot of low balls? If it was just rust they would have been long, short and wide, but there was a trend of low.

I believe this has more to do with maybe him not stepping up on his throws . . .again cautious of the knee . . .he is trying to let his arm do all the work but he has to start stepping up . . . he did it a few times last night and threw some bullets when he did (and one soft touch pass to Welker also) . . . thats why its rust . . he has to get back in form and stop worrying about the knee . . . he is being extra cautious.

What didn't I like......Hmmmm How about ten "one hoppers" into the turf! How about a missed throw to Chambers in the endzone that "I" could've completed! How about a QB who's supposed to be mobile, but looks terrified to run...He choked, screw it, lets learn from it and move on....."DOWN THE JILLS"

Maybe he choked . . . as how u put it . . . but last night was just one less game that Daunte needs to get his form back . . . he eventually needs to get back and it wont be easy . . . especially against the Steelers . . . tuff task for CPep . . . but in playing a weaker D in Buffalo . . . at home, I think he will be ready to go and will look sharper.

Is it me or was C-pep floating alot of passes?????

Too many shovel passes that the D-Fense read.

I know it will all get corrected.

I'm concerned about his mobility and I think he forced the throw on the second INT that lead to a TOUCHDOWN. Also he had Chambers in the endzone twice and overthrew it both times. He played good in my honest opinion the first 3 and half quarters. Actually he played good until the entire team seemed to collapse with 6 minutes left in the 4th and then he finished with 0 TD's 2 INT's, and I believe two of the three sacks all in those 6 minutes. I don't blame last night's loss on Daunte, I blame it on Daunte, our O-line, and especially our secondary. Yes, the refs made some bad calls or bad no calls but most (not all) were actually in our favor. This is Daunte's first game back since Week 5 or Week 6 of last year and it's with a brand new team, new head coach, new Offensive coordinator, all new teammates, etc. etc. He and the Dolphins will get better game by game and we will eventaully get in sync. There were positives and negatives in last night's game, the biggest negative being WE LOSSED.
