Is it just me or are we playing back off of the receiver with less press and bump and run coverage? Is this the style Saban ran at LSU? Maybe if we pressed a little more Daniels and Howard wouldn't look as bad as they do. What do you guy's think?

We are playing a lot more zone and guys just aren't in position. The defense still doesn't fully grasp the system. I think a lot of plays are still not being used since they haven't made the simpler plays instinctive. Since the play book is probably smaller, teams are reading the defense as well.

We used to play with our corners on an island and responsible for their reciever. Very little blitzing or double coverage.

I don't think it is in Saban's system. But I do wonder if it would cut down on the wide open recievers?
